Lurking the expanded forums has been nice but I think It's time for a lil action. So taking my limited knowledge of ninja into account I'm making a BS guide to ninjas Post Renew and Pre 2nd class(lol...)

Most of the questions and issues are simple and ideas for builds and stat placement redundantnt. So if I missed anything Lemme know. Also this guide is intended for begining players/midrange players who want to have fun playing the class but not look like a complete joke,If you have a +12gloriousus huuma then this guide isn't for you and I hate your guts.(I cant figure out why when you click on the images it takes you off the guide...for now open the pics in a new tab to keep the guide on the original tab.)

Table of contents:
zx1)Overview
zx2)Job change guide
zx3)Leveling/pvp builds(stats and skills)
zx4)Leveling Guide
zx5)Equipment Corner
zx6)FAQ
zx7)Looking to the future

zx1)Overview:

Ninjas are in a group along with gunslingers and super novices known as expanded classes. As of the writing of this guide ninjas have no ability to transcend or advance to a new class.Thier max lvl is of 99/70 and they have no quest skills.Ninjas as of this writing have access to a frog mount and clothes dye change available through the kafra services.
The homeland of the ninja is within the country of amatsu,a far and distant land available to visitation by talking to the sea captain in alberta and depositing 10k zenny into his wallet.(I hate that guy).Within amatsu lies the ninja guild wherin you can buy ninja tools such as cataylist stones for magic spells, shuriken and kunai for use with throwing techniques, and various NPC's that offer weapon crafting and shield crafting quests. It is here that we begin our mission...

x2)Jobchange Guide:

I lied we actually start in the novice training grounds. After logging in and setting your stats you begin here, follow the instructions the NPC's give you and you should be able to exit upon reaching job lvl 10 and base lvl 10(IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU STAY HERE UNTIL LVL 12 SO THAT YOU CAN EQUIP THE ASURA.If you have acceess to another dagger for use or aren't a magic ninja then you can prolly get away with going at lvl 10.Also NOT THAT YOU NEED 20ZENNY TO JOBCHANGE PLS DONT FORGET THIS.)I find it easiest to aquire the skill book from the rep of the thief guild in the battle area and talking to the lvl 1 trainer.Ask him to go to lvl 5 and begin killing spores, you'll get job exp very quickly and can get to job lvl 10 fast enough, then go and do the quests from each of the representatives and base lvl 12 is a snap.

After lvling to base lvl 12 and job lvl 10 talk to the merchant representative and then talk to the eden group NPC and have her take you to Alberta, dont ask why just do it.You'll thank me later. After ariving in alberta head straight to your left and keep going up a set of stairs and continue left. You will see a building on the leftmost side, this is the building for the merchant job change.Head upwards and you will see a NPC named Akagi standing ontop of a ledge.(http://img263.images...rieopen009x.jpg)Talk to him and you will be transported to amatsu for free. When you get to amatsu head left then downwads until you see this house and head inside.(http://img197.images...rieopen004p.jpg).Once inside head near the scroll on the wall and walk through it,you will be inside a secret passageway to the ninja guild.Walk down the stairs and into the portal.(http://img824.images...rieopen005z.jpg)

Welcome to the ninja guild!Talk to Cougar, and he will give you a quest to find wildcat joe in einbroch. If you talk to him again after he gives you the quest he will warp you there for free.Exit the building and head towards einbroch tower witch is in the center of the map,and talk to oberu to head up the tower.(http://img710.images...yrieopen006.jpg)After speaking to the suspicious man on top of the tower he gives you a quest to find the red seal near a tree.Head down the tower by talking to morie and exit einbroch by heading to the southern portal.Once in this map head south until you reach the area acessable by bridge.Head left and talk to the red tree,(http://img85.imagesh...yrieopen008.jpg)continue to do so until you find the seal, then head back to the top of the tower.(If you have trouble finding the seal try rotating your camera)

Go up the tower again and the man(to be known as red leapard or wild cat joe)gives you his thanks and sends you back to the ninja guild.Head back inside and talk to cougar,he requests that you get him 5 iron ore and one pharcon(and yes the quest window says cyfer and it's wrong,so don't waste your time)You can get pharcon from the upgrade shops in most towns or from the merchant quest in the novice training area, the iron ores are a bit more tricky.I find it best to ask someone for them or to look on ragial.com to find who is selling them. After you give cougar the items he turns you into a ninja.Huzzah!

zx3)Leveling/pvp(stats and skills)

Note:Most skill discriptions are accurate enough to where I don't think I need to list them out,if you would like me to pls leave a comment. For the skills the prerequisets are on the skill window so when I say max Exploding dragon for example, the skill window will show what you need to max in order to get the skill.)

Post renewal, kunai has become the primere skill to use for leveling.Since it never mises you can ignore stats like dex that would otherwise strech your build thin.If you want to go from 1-99 as fast as possible this is the build for you. When you first put your stats in the character creation screen 9 Str/9 Vit/9 Luk is a good start.

Stats:
Str-8x-99
Dex-1-2x
Agi-?
Vit-?
Int-3x-5x
Luk-9-?

This is a more traditional throwing type.Str should be as high as possible, weather you get max or not is up to you but it needs to be base 90 at least. You don't need dex for hit but having 20 after bonuses is still good for using ninja aura and Mirror Image.INT around 50 after bonuses is good for your sp pool and regen. Now comes the hard part, you can either choose Agi to flee monsters or Vit to take more hits, either one is viable and with gear can be enhanced but its totaly up to you.I've even seen a lot of people put a mix of both so you can do that also.Whatever you got left over should go into Luk as every 3 Luk is one ATK,also it adds perfect dodge witch dosnt breach cicada.

Skills:
Max Throw Kunai
Max Cicada Skin Shed
Max Ninja Mastery
Max Mirror Image(lvl 9 is ok too)
Max Ninja Aura

The rest is up to you, these are the core skills you will be using from 1-99.For the most part you should get max kunai first then ninja mastery to aid in your sp regen, then Css.The rest is up to you. Please note that maxing these skills requires you to lvl up other skills so keep that in mind for now and for the rest of the builds.

Although magic ninjas have gotten the short end of the stick out of the builds a ninja has it is still viable for PVM,while not as good as used to be it can get the job done.Choosing 9 INT/9 DEX/9 Luk at the character creation screen is a good idea.

Stats:
STR-1
DEX-7x-8x
AGI-1
VIT-1-4x
INT-9x-99
LUK-9-4x?

You need as much MATK as possible and more dex than your used to as the cast time has become seemingly longer for your skills, you'll most likely have room for 40 or so luck or vitality,if you have some other perfect dodge gear the luck may be appealing to you.Otherwise Vit is good as it'll give KE something to be based on,if you happen to be with a priest.

Skills:

MAX Cicada skin shed
MAX Shadow leap
Max Ninja mastery
MAX Exploding dragon
MAX Ninja Aura
Lvl 1-3 Freezing Spear

These are the core skills you will be using. With the points left over you have some wiggle room. You can max either first wind or Snow flake draft(recommend first wind)and finish off Blaze shield if you wish too.If you want you can get more points into freezing spear or dabble into water evasion if you wish.Starting out with Fire petals 5,then ninja mastery 10 and Css lvl 3 is a good start, and the rest is easy enough.

Killing Stroke:

STR-9x-99
DEX-1-2x(with bonuses)
AGI-1
VIT-9x-99
INT-1
LUK-9

A PVP/Lvling build, witch if funded can be a force with its high damage and killing stroke skill. For leveling it's the same as with the throwing build(throw kunai till 99)but with less sp witch ends up in a lot of sitting early on.The dependancy on more pots and better weapons for killing stoke early is a burden but late game will be easier to handle.Note that you don't have to start throwing kunai right away, shuriken will suffice till your mid 20's very esily. But after that you should start making some.

Skills:
Max Throw Kunai
Max Cicada Skin Shed
LVL 9 Mirror image
MAX Killing Stroke
LVL 7+ Ninja Mastery
MAX Ninja Aura

These are your core skills.Maxing Throw kunai and getting Mastery to lvl 7 will aid in leveling the most, and that's pretty much it.Killing stroke is killing stroke, the rest of the skills are prereqs for killing stroke(shadow leap shadow slash ect)After maxing these skills you dont have any other skill points to spend.

zx4)Leveling Guide

Nowadays all you have to do is the eden quests until around lvl 86,they give you weapons and gear that will aid you in manyways greater than regular gear.Other than that there are usually turn in quests inside the eden buildng witch you are elegible for (talk to the"gramps"npc)The eden group and the building containing all the quests can be located by talking to the eden group NPC in most major towns. She is indicated by a bright yellow dot on your mni map,She is also inside most jobchange buildings(IE:ninja guild building)

After that you have a few options available:

I just did mostly eden quests till like 50 to 55 then went to GH(Wraiths, and evil druids, then earth petite.).After that Harpies in juno are an okay spot from 65 to 80.At lvl 88 dark priests in Glast hiem become available,if you wish you can also go to magmarings till about 95(yes the exp is bad lvl range wise but it's a solid .2 exp and are relatively easy to kill on a VERY not dangerous map.)DP till 99 is prolly your best bet or if you can get a party in magma dungeon 2 that will be great exp as most 3rd classes can mob it very easily. If you want to go hunt something diffrent try this exp scaler.Put in your lvl then for lvl range put in 10,it'll show you the monsters with the best exp at your lvl.Do this whenever you feel the need to change locations during training.(http://www.healplz.com/exp/index.php)

zx5)Equipment Corner

As I said most equipment for lvling can be optained in the eden group early but there are more options available to you than you might think,in this section I will be listing useful equipment that ninja can use along with a guide on how to make kunai,If you wish to see a list of available weapons a ninja can wear or a list of ninja equipment quests head to IRO wiki and type in Ninja in the text box.On the bottom of the screen it'll have a weapons link that will list all the daggers and huuma and stuff xP.

-How to make kunai:
Talk to kunai merchant kashin inside the ninja guild to begin making kunai,in order for him to make kunai you will need the required shuriken and cataylist stones. When he produces kunai he makes them in sets of ten.So for example if you want to make a set of 10 "fell poison kunai" you need to give him 20 suriken and 1 shadow orb,he then gives you 10 kunai.Note that he cannot give you more than 500 sets at one time and if you can't hold amount you selected he cannot complete the order.
Note that in this area there are salesmen for cataylist stones and shuriken, you can use a merchants discount skill to buy shuriken and stones for a lower price but only Ninja class chars can manufacture kunai.

Throwing Ninja-
For the most part you will want gear that increases your survival stat(either VIT or AGI)and a high base attack weapon to inflict damage with your kunai. For armor a Pantie/undershirt combo works well for early lvling and increases your flee, there are garment cards to increase flee as well. For Vit armor the goibne set is a great armor set to have reguardless of build as it gives you many bonuses and is cheap, albeit very heavy. For shields you have various 30% reduction cards available.Weapons compounded with andre or wolf cards are desireable as well as higher-end daggers like a grimtooth or a kuhkri,Keris is also a nice weapon as it can be upgraded to 5 and has a pesudo hunterfly effect witch may help in potting. Also a Huuma blaze or wing suriken is a nice weapon as both have good attack and are relatively cheap.Basicly if it increases ATK then its good for you =)

Magic Ninja-
If it gives you MATK then equip it,even with high end weapons your MATK will be ..low,Bazerald,Keris and asura are some common daggers for you to use and upgraded will do more damage for you.Vitata carded clips or nileroses are also worthwile and affordable along with the much needed Hiding clip/nilerose that you have to get asap. This along with shadow leap will let you live to see another day.Crown of deciet is also another armor that is worth mentioning along with the moonrabbit hat, dont be afraid to spend good money on a headgear like this as itll prove vital to you, many good MATK related cards are in headgear so also be on the look out for them.Be wary of opposing magic as you have no way to protect yourself from it.

KS Ninja-
HPHPHP,also goibne set is fantastic for you as its affordable, the weight is a nonfactor due to your str and it gives you gobs of HPand resistances.Other than that its the same as a throwing type, only that you get more of a bonus for increasing your HP pool. For killing stroke it is a ranged attack so anything that rasies ranged damage will help you(archer skel cards, ect)but for lvling your normal weapon will do.(more on specific KS weapons in the FAQ section)

General-
For general purpose a smokie/Vitata/snowier(or any of the food increasing cards)acessory is nice to have, the ninja set(ninja suit and shinobi sash)are also decent for the sp reduction as well as being quite affordable. The KVM set if you have the the oppertunity to aquire it has very nice bonuses for all 3 types of ninjas,as well as the KVM weapons and accesories, the Medal of honor is also very usefull for most ninjas and again is available through KVM.For shields you have the choice of a Valk shield, stone buckler or the ninja exclusive shields(arm guard and advanced arm guard, both are available for production in the ninja guild)along with regular guards. For most ppl regular guards will suffice for your needs but for MATK resistance you can choose the advanced ar guard or the valk shield. For Magic ninja a Pest carded Armor will go a loooong way,as the petrified monsters become weak to your strongest spell.Muscipular Card in a guard has also been working nicely on a personal note giving a free agi up in a otherwise usless shield slot(if you don't have more usefull cards).

zx6)FAQ

Ok so here are some common questions I see on forums or whatever that I'll answer here:

Q-Dose the element of my huuma affect my throw kunai skill?

A-No only the kunai element, your humma element dose determine the element of throw humma shuriken tho.

Q-Whats the best weapon for ks?

A-...well for the most part either a MG or huuma giant wheel with archer skell is good, but as far as the best I couldnt tell you.Obviously if you got a glorious weapon youll be doing good damage anyway but for everyone else you will have these 2 options for "good damage"Please note that the huuma from battle grounds that triggers the x2 KS damage DOSE NOT WORK IN RENEWAL so dont rely or waste your points on that.

Q-How am I supposed to get to einbroch from amatsu during the job change quest?

A-Talk to cougar in the ninja guild a second time after he gives you the initial mission.

Q-How do I get back to amatsu after that?

A-After revealing the seal and talking to red leapord joe on einbroch tower he will transport you to amatsu.

Q-How good are ninjas at pvp?

A-Against 3rd classes...results may vary. For second classes you have more of a shot at rampaging around,In my opinion I wouldnt bother pvping unless your 99 or a KS build as you need a lot of raw stats to be able to compete against most opponents.

Q-What kind of attack is KS and what can I do to make it stronger?

A-It is a ranged attack with neutral element and no cast time,so anyone with pneuma or a Ghostring armor will not be affected.Increasing your ranged damage through archer skell or similar cards will work to increase your damage as well as increasing your HP and STR.

Q-Im a returning player and I dont have time for BS,what skills are utter crap so I don't put points in them?

A-IN MY OPINION,Throw coins/Throw suriken/Throwing practice past lvl 7/Haze Slasher/Snow Flake Draft/Lightning Jolt/Wind Blade/
These do the least for you or have little effect on the battle field.Do I think these are utter crap? No.All skills are there for a reason but for someone who dosn't want to spend skill points unessesarily I would make sure I understand what these skills do first.

Q-Why are you making a guide after renewal and before the 2nd class comes out, thats stupid.

A-since ninjas came out all I have seen are outdated Half-assed guides, post renewal everyone said hey "Kunai is op lets not help anyone anymore" and exploited KS and kunai builds and left everyone else to figure it out.Yes we will be getting an expanded ninja class.Yes most things will change, but between the time until that happens I'd like to help ppl returning to there ninjas from a hiatus or players looking to make one in lue of the expanded class.Besides I don't see why ninja players have to look at 5 other sites for advice when the website that created the game has nothing on the subject.

Q-Will you share some ninja secrets with us?

A-Maybe.If anyone has suggestions on any tactics or tricks of the trade post them and I'll try to make a tactics guide later on.

zx7)Looking to the future

Well thats it for now,if you have anything to say post it here.Too many spelling errors?Lemme know.Outdated info?Let me hear it.Think this guide is useless?Let's hare why.Im open to pretty much anything atm but for the most part I hope to go through this several times and fine tune it to where it helps more ppl than it pisses off.(On a side note I cant figure out why when you click on the images it takes you off the guide...for now open the pics in a new tab to keep the guide on the original tab.)

Read and enjoy~

thx for the guild. I have some questions:
what is a good weapon for kunai?
does the weapon affect the damage besides the kunai's element?
I have a +10 x4 AS cards MG. The KS damage is nice ( around 40-45k to mob), but the kunai damage is on the lvl of huuma blaze shuriken if not weaker for weak to fire monsters ( aound 1.5-2k weaker).
I heard people could do ~10k with kunai. How? because i only could do 5-6k with element with that weapon.

As I said any high base attack weapon is good for throw kunai, the weapon has an effect on the kunai damage based on how high the weapon attack is.The MG your using with Killing strike will not give you the same damage with throw kunai because the raw attack of the MG is so low.So long story short if your throwing kunai, use your huuma blaze. If your going to use KS use your MG with the 4 AS cards. As far as elements only the kunai element affects the damage, your weap dosnt have an effect elementally.Dont worry bout throwing for 10k,just got for the most efficient 2 shot.

Best weapon for Kunai Ninja is either Gimtooth, or Huuma Blazing Shuriken. Higher ATK you get, Higher your Throwing Kunai dmg increase. I myself hunt at Ice Dungeon 2nd floor, and dealing 12k average per shot on ice titan, and snowier.
