Does matk scale with level?

I'm not sure exactly how Ro mechanics work, whether there is some hidden modifier, but I was wondering if base level affected stats at all. As in, does a lvl 150 benefit from 120 base int more than a lvl 130 (matk wise that is).

Also, do Warlock skills scale with base level or job level? I have read a lot of forums and skill descriptions that mention many other classes have damage skills that scale with levels, but to no avail have I found anything mentioning Warlock skills scaling with level.

I'm trying to decide to keep with my warlock or not, because even at 550 matk and 21% matk, I'm dealing much lower damage than most classes. I am lvl 106 at 100int, so I'm not sure that has anything to do with my damage output. I know I can get 20 more int, but, like, 20 int is something like 30 matk, which at a 2500% matk skill, will deal roughly 350 more damage after 50% dmg reduction (cranial valk shield), let alone their int and other reductions. I'm just not sure if I'm missing something here, cause people keep telling me lvl 150 will be better, but I see no impressive gains from the 20 int and from what I've read, and a lack of damage skills that scale with base or job lvl. Maybe I'm just missing something.

Anyways, I'm just trying to learn the game a little better too. If anyone has any information, please let me know XD

Base level factors in /4 in the MATK formula

Status MATK = floor(Base Level/4 + INT + INT/2 + DEX/5 + LUK/3)

Even with the level scale, damage is just horrible in comparison to physical.

So it seems getting 120 int and getting lvl 150 would only increase my matk by about 40. That honestly is terrible compared to other classes who would receive the same benefit + 50% skill damage from base level modifiers on those skills. I honestly could do more damage copying Physic Wave on my chaser, than my Warlock could dish out at 150 with the same stats if this is truly the case.

i just got ksed from some one called vanishing point at nagas, the pathetic thing its that my sorc its 150 with 120 int, chronos+8, etc... really good matk gears, i deal from 4k to 9k per hit with psychic wave, then this royal guard deals with a instant over brand 18k and 14k against my mob >_>, THEN i noticed that matk its not just INCREDIBLE WEAK AND STUPID SLOW, it have a STUPID PROBLEM WITH MINIMUM AND MAXIMUN DAMAGE, HOW DOES MY PW DEALS FROM 4K TO 9K? AND SOME TIMES 11K WITH CHRONOS BUFF??????????????

when physical atacks its almost always the same damage >______________________________>

i think that at least for PVM they should put the same acid bomb formula for magic(where acid bomb deals full damage against NON-PLAYERS)then 2x magic damage against monsters would make something worth the magic IN PVM..............

Warlocks have Recognized Spell but at the cost of spending 25% more SP. It also doesn't last long. :dunno:

It affects released and mystical amplified spells. It's just too unconventional since it has like 3-4 sec cast time and you need level 5 to offset the cooldown and maintain the buff every 60 seconds....

I enjoy auto-attacking for 6-10 seconds on a 60k health mob then watching RK's/RG's/Suras come up and one-shot the mob with clashing spiral/vanishing/overbrand/whateverthehell-AoE-Rape thing a sura casts.

Being balanced around having EDP up 24/7 is a cool mechanic in my opinion. Thank god for turn-ins for exp or I'd be playing my champion instead of my true love. I think once I get a KVM katar life will be a little better -- but for now I just have to deal with it.

I see a lot of people saying MATK isn't as strong as physical these days but in the turn-in groups the warlock is nuking everything around for anywhere between 20k-35k repeatedly. My E-Peen shrivels when I try to cross impact for a meager 10-12k :dunno:

That'd make things pretty OP. I'd be doing 80k Varetyr's spears to certain monsters, and 32k PW per hit. This is without god items too. 2xBris and Sleips would make it pretty ridiculous.

You know, even with the low non scaling matk, I can't help but still feel sorry for bow rangers. My sniper at 73 dex and about 300 atk does 1 dmg to some characters. I reached a massive 20 damage crit against a sura. At least I can deal more than that on my warlock. But, regardless, something really needs to be done to restore balance. I think its ridiculous that other classes can deal so much more damage than a warlock in pvp, and also that bows have such horrid atk in pvp/WoE. Oh, and on a side note, the new WoE gear will be giving classes an additional 15% ranged damage reduction. So, that 1 dmg hit I did to a royal guard today will be reduced to .85 damage! So, yeah, that'd take me infinity hits to kill a rg given the fact they can hp regen more than my damage output. Hmmm, now that I think about it, that gives rgs the potential to have 110% ranged reductions on top of 30% demi human reductions, 7% all reductions, and 10% neutral resistance(more if immune shield is used) assuming you are using noxious carded proxy garment, cranial shield, defending aura, and 2 Anolian cards! Poor Bow type hunters and Warlocks. I pity myself for having both these classes.

can you post your actual damage? if you can in video better....... and that damage its decent compared to all that :dunno: from physical atacks

In my opinion, if OP is trying to decide between warlock or something else as a killer on pvp/woe, then the best idea would be to switch to a melee chara. Warlocks are more of a debuff class in renewal rather than a damage dealer. You may kill some lowish level people here and there, or higher level people once in a blue moon after preparing your strong attack with long preparations, but any kill you do on a warlock, a melee chara would have done better.

In turn ins, warlocks look like damage dealers because they have constant strings, sacrament, many people to work as meat shields, and several other damage sources. Magic can be useful, but I feel that generally, anything a magic class does, a melee class can do but without a cast bar.
