And October is over.. for us here it felt like a much too short month.. But we are getting closer to the Holiday season!

November 1st
  • GoCash Bonus 10% stops at 5pm November 1st
  • FWB bonuses will be distributed for the joins in October!
  • Ymir will return to no free character slot.
  • 3 RWC memorial Headgears will discontinue being sold
  • Minion of Morroc Doll will discontinue being sold
  • Prizes for the +9 Morroc of Minion Doll will be distributed through the Code the Redeemer
  • Minion of Morroc will become tradable after the prizes are distributed.
  • 2x Exp will end.
  • Many maps will become "no worky with Blank Cards and St Pats Hat the same maps that don't allow the other things like Myst case card already. So if you currently get the other drop items to work you will get these to work too.
  • Green Ale will get weight comparable to Yggdrasil Seeds 25weight . Stop botting...
On November 15, Green Ale will become Account bound until in season again. Notes to such will also be on the Ale Description. (this is a maybe)
  • St Patricks hat becomes Account bound (intended as temporarily)
  • The 2 Halloween Quest and the Spooky Machine will continue to the 8th.
  • Halloween Spooky Packs and Boxter will continue until the 8th.
  • New Turnins
Don't forget if you complete a turnin and want to do it again immediately, bypassing the 23 hour timer, use a Reset Stone to reset the timer!

    90-110 Niffelheim
    - Lude
    - Heirozoist

115-130 Rachel Sanctuary 4/5 spawns are increased on bothfloors
    - Agav
    - Echio

135+ Bio Labs 3 (Spawn is normal, but Turnin EXP is doubled)
    - Cecil Damon
    - Eremes Guile
    - Margaretha Sorin
    - Seyren-Windsor
    - Kathryne Keyron
    - Howard Alt-Eisen
  • The big nasties in Bio 3(the miniboss and MVPs) will have an aura so you know whether to break off and run.
  • And another note, we were testing some cases with the weight increase and there is a problem we must address.

So this week the ales stay same weight, and become un"cartable (they can still be traded)

Next week during maintenance any ales still in a cart are going to be deleted (they can be vended if already in the cart or taken out normally), and next week they may get the weight added.
I'll be making another pinned thread to discuss what is happening behind the scenes here with the updates and why this week is a little "soft" on the updates.

maybe if you didnt implement the stupid hat or took more action on the bots so that the amount of hats would decrease, you wouldnt have to worry about it instead of doing this stupid "fix". they should be at worst half the weight of seeds. it's not our fault you can't control your own game so that the people that legitly farmed or stocked up on ales get this. not only did people that saved them get a 10x heavier consumable, but it's worse than a seed because of the chaos effect chance.

yea while you're at it messing up things, why dont you make berries 60 weight too, i mean they refill double than a seed, useless..

Just to make this clear to me, we can keep using reset stones to do the Turn-In's over and over again?

Andini's right. You're only penalizing real players not the bots. Aren't you smart enough to realize that it won't stop anyone from botting? They'll still bot, they'll still sell, they'll still make zeny. The only people you're penalizing are the legit people. Why don't you implement a better system for banning bots instead of punishing your legit players.

Green Ale was meant to be a seasonal item to influx into the Game Economy, not a permanent replacement. The St Pats hat can still work to get you your personal supply just fine, and you are given 2 weeks to clear and sell your current stores.

They will become tradable When the Green Ales are in Season again, (for about a month).

We do have measures for taking care of bots, but it does require that someone make a report, else wait for a GM to randomly catch them. I don't like that we don't have so many staff that we can constantly patrol but we have to do what we have to do to keep things moving.

Just a clarification:

The change on where the items will work are areas that normally you will never farm. Players are finding areas that we consider exploitive for their farming, and doing it there would earn a ban, so us making it impossible to get the drops there should NOT effect anyone but the exploiters.

Normal field, dungeon and instances the items will still offer their drops.
But quest rooms, job changes etc where monsters are respawned in tight areas for ONLY those doing the quests will not work. So the complaints about how we are nerfing this for legit players is a bit of under-understanding of what we are doing.

I hope that clarifies and helps you.

if they are account bound and you worry about bots, why are they getting heavier? this is contradictory, if anything, if bots store up to sell during that period next year, you can easily track accounts that have 20k + stored and on multiple chars.

if you are going to make them account bound, keep them the same weight. although your measures to prevent botting is a really bad workaround to it

Weight increase is an interim solution.

Once they become account bound weight becomes less an issue for "botting" control, then becomes the focus for PVP usage.

Ales are not intended to be the default Pot for WoE. it is going to take a few weeks/months to make the adjustment and drain the economy of them but it will happen and then the intended normal pot usage will re-enter the game and the poting industry will again have a chance to thrive. This is part of a long term plan, for which the exploitive gathering method must be controlled first, then we can work on the usage method.

yes I know this is unpopular with players that exclusively use them or are part of the gathering/selling group but it is the only way to solve the issue short of making the St Pats hat no longer work.. which then we have other problems to deal with.
