The idea is kind of simple and could solve a few problems. The problems are this ones:

1st. There are 3 raids inside of Jacob Shrine and the players get bounded when kill one, which force them to do the 3 raids in one day or go out and remain bounded, being unable to enter to the dungeon, not even for grind.

2nd. The new xeons for the lvl 85 items drop in Jacob Shrine, but the players that need those are between lvl 80-85, which means that they will have a drop penalty when kill the lower lvl mobs. This make hardder to get those xeons that are alredy hard to get without the penalty.

Solutions:

In the 3 end rooms (North, East and West) add 3 mini-bosses of lvl 80-85. Those bosses would drop the new xeons (maybe with a chance, that way it wouldnt go from too hard to too easy to get) but also, when the mini-boss die, a door will open that give access to a specific raid. The raids would be in a separated instance that can be accessed by a portal inside the last rooms (East, North and West) of Jacob Shrine, and when the raid bosses die, the players would be bounded only to that sub-instance, and not to the entire dungeon.

They could use the same device that is used now to summon the raids, to let the players to port to the sub-instance, and there could be a door blocking the way to that device. The door would open when the mini-boss, that protect it, die.

There could be also 3 portals at the entrance (inside the instance) of Jacob Shrine, that let the players port directly to the last room of each wing (East, North and West), that way the players dont need to run all the way to there, if they get a disconection. This portals would be only able to be used if the mini-boss is dead.

I have to say I don't like it at all and would hate to see it implmented.

It means you have to have a pt and go through whole of JS to kill some mini boss to get one 85 xeon drop? And knowing Gravity this mini boss would require at least half an hour and a party of ten. No thanks.

AH is already flooded with the xeons. There are enough lower levels grinding in JS to fill supplies.

The level argument can also be used with Ruinhorn and other bosses. Ruinhorn drops level 67 weapons but lets face it there isnt a level 67 pt that can do Ruinhorn. The whole raid system and weapon access, compounding needs an overhaul.

Mini-Boss =/= Raid Boss. So, no, it wouldnt take that long, and only would need a normal party to do it.

That is no excuse, the xeons should be able to be farmed for the lvl 85 players and not for the lvl 70's ones.

It isnt the same, the lower lvls have troubles or cant kill rh bcs rh is too strong. Here we are talking about drop penalty, there isnt a drop penalty when kill the raid bosses.

hehe one would think but mini-bosses might end up being like ET mobs.

It still doesn't cover the issue of having to go through all of JS with a pt to get 1 xeon. I would rather have the market flooded with them rather than making them rare. Currently it is hard to get a JS grind pt going. If these xeons always dropped on mini-boss then people will just go and farm them according to need, which makes them pretty damn worthless in AH.

It isnt the same, the lower lvls have troubles or cant kill rh bcs rh is too strong. Here we are talking about drop penalty, there isnt a drop penalty when kill the raid bosses.

It is similar in that in both cases they have penalties. I would fancy my chances in JS at 80+ to get a xeon than a 67 party trying to get RH done (no way in hell would it get done). Drop rate in JS maybe low for high levels but not impossible. I've pted with lvl 80+ and seen these xeons drop during this 100% drop event that we had.

It is true drop rate sucks at 80+ but it is also true that JS is much much easier for level 80 toons. You will be killing them faster and in larger numbers.

If it is such a major issue rather than mini-bosses just move these xeons and make them drop in ST.

In saying all that, lets face it current level 85 armour is worthless due to the high risks and random stats. However the Turan outfits do look nice, one has to acquire to look cool while hanging around Alban.
