For the longest time I've been experiencing serious lag periodically in WoE and didn't know why. After a while I narrowed the cause down to being within 2-3 cells of my guild leader. I thought it was because of something she was wearing, but even after taking everything off and putting it in storage the lag persisted. Today I was finally able to pinpoint that it's the passive guild skills that give small stat increases within a certain range of a guild leader that cause this lag to happen. It cause me to lag so badly that it's actually worse than falling in a manhole. If I stay in range of it for too long it force-DC's me. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this problem, or if it was just me?

That is one of the strangest things I've ever heard. I cannot fathom how or why that could be the case. Is it reproducible in town (those skills function everywhere, not just in WoE)? Is it reproducible in castles during non-woe times?

Check if you guild has the aura buffs. [Great Leadership, Glorious Wounds, Sharp Gaze, and so on]

Also. Are you using RCX? I heard RCX lags badly when you enter a guildmaster's aura, because it tries to give you the buff, but no success.

We've tested it both during WoE and afterwards, the lag persists both on WoE maps and just sitting in Payon, though we have yet to check them inside castles outside WoE times.

We have the buffs, and I checked my stats as I moved within range of them, and yes I do get them. RCX doesn't make any difference on the matter.

I think I've heard of this problem before, either on this forum or the iRO Wiki forum. I can't remember whether a solution was discovered.

Does the problem occur when playing other characters (when in the same guild)?
