Healing Items

I suggest that either we scale the current pots to renewal efficiency, which is what i've mostly seen asked for, or implement more potion items.
Implementing more potion types* gives you the chance to make them expensive if you like, maybe 4-5k each. They can cost more if you want, because most people who would be at the level needed to use these should be able to afford more expensive pots, making a pretty good zeny sink because if this works out well then enough will be bought in woe for it to help, but don't make them weak like very-slightly-buffed-whites so that people would hopefully just buy more, because obviously that's the opposite of what we're trying to fix.
*We could separate them between levels 100+ with names like Bronze Potion, Silver Potion, and Gold Potion (?)
It's just an idea, feel free to contribute and help develop the idea more, because it really has potential in my opinion.

I say that existing potions should be tweaked. Let them have some kind of bonus to healing based on the player's level, so that these potions actually scale up with level appropriately.

That would make it really easy to monopolize the market because it isn't like the new item is boosted, it's that only 5 people per server have the ability to make it in the first place. If we really need any better option than a 150% white pot... then bring a new potion from the alchemist to the market. a new type of ranked alche potion that perhaps only the top 5 can brew out of items that drop in higher and lower level regions... add 1 or 2 NPC items to the -_-tail list for this new potion and we have us a wonderful new incentive to support our alchemists and sink zeny in to NPCs

adding totally new potion types would badly misalign IRO with other versions of the game.
The St. Patty's event did a pretty good job of that already.
I don't care if it's new pots, buffed mastela's or korean rice cakes being vended but having a restorative item and a zeny sink all in one is something that needs to be implemented. Who cares what other servers are doing. iRO has its own set of unique problems created by it's GMs and player base.

I'm going to assume that whenever iRO gets something like a gold potion or an ale hat, kRO and jRO will see what we're doing, players over there will cry "why are those iRO people getting cool stuff like that? We want them too! While you're at it, add this and this and this" and it overall causes a lot of trouble for everyone. That's one reason why the KRO devs are probably reluctant to give our GM's too much freedom.
Everything we get is from kRO...

If they're going to do that, they may as well just make Korean Rice Cakes easily obtainable (from NPC or some other way), which would heal 10% of max HP, something similar/identical to "healing by level".
Agreed. 10% is good enough.

We get the sprites from them, but some headgears and items are changed drastically in iRO.
And that's another reason why we couldn't have something like a gold potion if it doesn't exist in kRO already.

Before when ales are non-existent people are just happy with their slims/mastela/yggdrasils
Now the ale has been revoked, you are starting a revolution for a better pot? The heck is wrong with the pots?
With all these 1 shot skills and insta-recovery this game is just being impractical with you complainers around.

idk what RO you've been playing, but the potting efficiency issue has always been an issue. We just cared less when we had a suitable alternative. I like the Korean rice cake idea. The more you have, the less you have. Got that right?

How about you, what RO are you playing? Potions are supposed to be an additive, not your very life source. That's why this game has Priests.
In any case, Philippine Ragnarok Online has something.
They have these:

A box containing 10 big buns. This bun recovers all of your HP.

Since everyone is running ammock with ale and potion issues, why not put this one so Yggdrasil business will be gone completely?
Also those are at 1 weight each, I do not know if it has cooldowns per use, but still. How about an infinite life source eh?

Knowing they have every essential here ...
Anyways I was gonna post that one too, but you did earlier so...
Really it just mean theres no "tweaking" needed and customised potions.
