New PC:

CPU:
Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti - Already Own
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB PC3-12800
HDD: Samsung Spintpoint F3 1TB
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H60

+

Windows 7

Total Cost: $775.73 on Amazon.com

Pros:

Will finally have a very powerful PC and will be able to play most anything.
Won't have to worry about it not starting up everytime it is turned off, hopefully... Currently do, because of a bad motherboard. Doesn't always turn on when power is turned on :D
Will be able to fully experience new titles, and upcoming MMO's like The Secret World, and RO2.
Won't have to buy a new one for a while. Less worries. Finally will be able to save money without wanting to spend it all on something big.
DLC is free, most of the time.

Cons:
Expensive
Not all games are available on it.
Have to wait a month for some :blah:
Games communities are smaller.
Might need/want a bigger monitor so More $

Xbox 360 + Television

Television: LG 32 Inch 1080p
Xbox 360: 250 GB Holiday Bundle

Approx Cost: 700$

Pros:

Can play pretty much every game.
Will finally get to try Limbo.
I liked the first 2 Halo games. Curious to how the story concludes. Would like to see why people enjoy the multiplayer aspect as well.
Multiplayer games might be more active/fun
Final Fantasy 13! Final Fantasy 13-2! AND maybe Final Fantasy Versus XIII!
Sandbox games.
Bed play
Bigger screen.
Won't have to worry about Frames Per Second?

Cons:

Subscription for online
Won't have a new PC and will still want/need one.
Not sure where I will arrange it.
Are exclusive games worth it?

Such a hard decision. D: At some point I can get both. But I really want to play some of the new games that just came out now, like Skyrim.. So I need to pick one. D: It doesn't help that I'm one of the most indecisive people on the planet :P

dont buy a 2500k. dont. with the money you can wait and buy a next gen pc. now were between sockets and consoles will soon will see a new generation.

overall, consoles worth more cause you dont need to change the hardware for like 4-5 years.

Get an i7, don't be a cheap shot.

If you're aiming to get a powerful pc, save another month, get one that lasts you three years.

The PS3 is a pretty good deal right now, though rumors are swirling that new consoles are likely to be announced next year. Both PCs and consoles seem to be heading into the next generation pretty soon. Steam definitely makes the PC a much stronger platform,

I went with the PC most of the parts arrive today. I'm just waiting for the Memory >.> I shouldn't have been cheap and just payed the extra 12$ for shipping :bang:

Also all the i7's have over the i5 is Hyperthreading, and that's not really worth it for gaming. Very few games now and even in the future will make use of hyper threading.

Anyway I hear the first generation of Ivy Bridge will be compatible with socket 1155 so I'll get one of those when they come out.

I guess i should save some money up and get the Xbox and TV next month or something.

I was debating the same thing kinda;

Then the debate went to PS3 vrs Xbox -

Then I heard new consoles might be getting released next year

I'll just wait till boxing day when everything goes dirt cheap.
- I'll probably go the PS3 route myself.
