Tried many combos but cant find a decent build of one handed spear and shield, can any give some suggestions.

Well im a pally right now but moving on to RG soon.

A high upgrade Brocca with a Valk shield or Immune shield with a Hodremlin Card will be your standard go-to setup for general tanking of mixed mobs.

The only one handed spears worth a damn right now are

Long horn
Poll axe
Hunting spear
Brocca (situational)
Imperial spear
KVM spear

Hodremlin carded shields aren't as useful as they seem. They're not bad if youre on a map with mixed races and mixed sizes but you're actually better off getting a racial carded round buckler, rosa shield or even a stone buckler for most pvm purposes. The racial reduction is more important that the defense of the shield. Valk shields are great but I find them horribly over rated since you won't be getting hit with the elements if gives you some resist on.

Valk shield for your cranial (because you'll use it in PVP, and players tend to use elemental skills) and Alice (bosses tend to throw around scary magic). Maybe for demon too (demons like using shadow attacks). Other races don't really need to be in valk shields, as far as I can think of.
