Pretty much at a loss on what to do.

I was able to get this far from grinding the mobs for last week's TI outside Rachel in groups. I've tried grinding this week's a little bit already, but I'm dying so much more now and I'm barely making any progress(maybe one death for every 4-5% XP gain).

I've tried Magmarings, but they don't feel that feasible. I have no gear to my name other than a vitata clip, so no siromas or smokie.
I also tried Siroma, but that didn't work out too well. Jupitel would seem to 'root'(I know it doesn't) them in place while it dealt damage, but then they would suddenly warp up near me and nearly kill me.

I'm thinking I might try Stapo/Musci/Drosera, but Drosera/Musci take so many casts, and Stapo give a little low XP for my liking. I was also thinking about picking up a smokie clip(on a side note, is there anything else that gives Hide other than that and the Kafra wig?), and hope that helps with my survivability in TI groups or just do cold bolt>hide spam on magmarings. Opionions?

Did you take Firewall?
You can solve the position lag problem of jupitel thunder by placing a wall between you and your target, assuming of course its not immune to fire.
It takes a lot more sp but its better than being dead.

Also there's eden quests for up to lv99, the boards for them are on the second floor or the eden building.

I can't stress enough how useful firewall is for soloing.
You can also get some helpful eden gears from the quests at the desk if you haven't got them yet.

Yep, I have firewall, and I know how to VFW. Maybe I just wasn't fast enough, but I found Siromas would get to me faster in the cast delay after JT and the cast time for firewall. I'll honestly say I didn't try firewall on Magmarings, but I'm pretty sure they're immune anyways.

I thought Eden quests ended at 85? At least in iRO. Now if you're talking about the TI quests ,I'm already doing those.

OK a couple points

The quests he is talking about are the quests you get from Signs. Thers new ones all the way upto level 99 on the 2nd floor. Link Below for the 86+ ones.

Also YES Magmarrings are immune to FWall.

The trick to using it with Siroma are perhaps 2 ways.
First and easiest is lay it down BEFORE using JT.
Second and a bit tougher to remember is to make sure your not JTing them right into the wall ass it negates the Knock back effect if they can't go anywhere. If you can make sure to JT them so they don't hit wall your FWall should be up fast enough so they don't get you but try the first solution.

BTW - not to discount using VFW but it's not really needed for Siroma. Just normal FWalling is enough.

Hehe Siroma happen to be one of the 91-99 Sign quests.

I did siromas with lvl 85 to 90 with vFW, at least on aRO (which got renewal as well), JT had no castdelay, I casted jt 10 on siroma, instantly cast my vFW and use one more lvl 10 and one more lvl 5 JT to finish it off. The siromas are not rooted or anything, they just posibug, after pushing them away you got exactly the same time before they get to you as if they'd run, but instead they just appear next to you after some seconds. I got used to it, its been like this since ever.

This does happen ofc but that's not the whole reason why.

You see Ice Dungeon level 1 is VERY narrow at most spots. Depending on where you are and where the enemy you target with JT is you can easily send them smacking right into a wall or obstacle within 2 cells therefore the other 5 cells your supposed to knock them back just don't happen. It doesn't even "Hold" them at the wall taking the rest of the hits but lets them immediately start moving towards you.

Therefore if you hit them and there is nothing behind them they go a LOT farther away, which gives you ample time to get the FWall up before they reach you.
