It's clearly the worst hat effect ever and no one should even bother upgrading it. Instead, someone sell one to me right now for cheap so I can be adorable. Teehee. B3

First off... Free Hat.

Second, half of you are saying that the hat is OP and is a total cash grab. Then the other half are saying the hat is weak and useless, and is a total cash grab. Plus I'm getting the vibe of "it's cute, but not powerful, so it's not worth my money" (again, free hat). What in god's name will make you people happy o_o

The hat is not free. But a freebie. They are as free as the 100 KP you get from converting 1000 KP. You have to pay to receive it.

The thing I wonder is. It has a refining effect, to "force" people to spend more money to refine it. But the refine effect is useless.

I want one too though.

No, actually, it's free...
I get your point, but, you're not forced to spending the KP directly (yes, KP, since you have to trade in your WPE to get the hat), you can keep them and sometime you may need them (for example with the next lucky box coming around).
So, you may have spent the money for it anyway, sooner or later - but get a nice hat on top of it

(note though, my comment could be complete unneccesairy because of the language barrier here... that I may not understand the complete difference between free and freebie... ;3)

I don't know if free is an appropriate word - I prefer "bonus". To me, free would imply getting the item without spending any money. It's free as in, an extra at no additional cost when you buy something else. It's just an incentive to try and get people to buy something that they normally might not, namely the UGC.

Companies do it with real goods all the time, too (and it bugs me when they call it "free" lol). Sure, the cable company is giving away "free" tablet PCs when you sign up for service.... but you can't walk into their store just to say hi and walk out with a tablet. When a case of drinks has 2 "free" bonus bottles, you can't snatch them out of the package and walk out the store with them.

Looks like I'm going to start playing Dragon Saga to get a cool Reindeer Costume instead of a lame hat.

For x-mas, on top of having Santa Bags (for the new players, it's a consumable item that makes your sprite dress up at Santa), there should be Reindeer Bags.

GM's always use the most hideous characters to show the items they sell. v__v

Well, maybe it's nitpicking on words, but for me it's not like a bonus, not like somthing you have to buy to get it "directly"...
In my opinion it's kinda like a currency change... because you still HAVE the money afterwards, just in another form, and you won't spent it untill you buy something from the Kafra Shop - which isn't needed.
As they added the "free" ViP if you spent 3000KP in the Kafra Shop, this felt like a bonus for me, since you HAD to spent the money.

...but yeah, could be just me and nitpicking x3

I think any future headgears that require a cash outlay of any sort should be equippable both as a normal headgear and as a stat-free costume gear, including all the existing kafras.
