Tertiary Class

I had this idea for a long time and I posted it on the old ragnarok forum. Basically, since we have "Primary and Alternate" class to chose from, why not make a third option, or I would call it "Tertiary Class".

Class 2-3 Trans and Non Trans, 3-3.

Let me start it off by mentioning the names of these classes I have in mind.

Swordsman - Warrior - Templar (trans) - Vanguard
These class have the ability of being able to equip 2 weapons much like Assassins class.

Mage - Psychic - Mystic (Trans) - Seer
Basic abilities are to predict the opponents next move, disable certain skills, transfer buffs to another player within the party and the ability to reduce opponents AoEs (Seer).

Acolyte - Preacher - Disciple (Trans) - Saint
Possess the ability to debuff and demoralized opponents to the point that they can no longer fight. It can bring out the inner demons inside and finish them by exorcism.

Thief - Rebel - Outlaw (Trans) - Renegade
Thy have the ability to violate and modify skills at their will. They can also equipped with one hand gun.

Archer - Assaulter - Catapulter (Trans) - Bombardier
Specializes in bombs, grenades, mines and other explosive devices.

Merchant - Artist - Draftsman (Trans) - Engineer
They have the ability to clone cards and use them to support. Clone cards are consumable and have duration time. An original card is required to copy/clone and it must not be compounded with any equipment. Blank cards are use when copying a card.

I would post more details about this idea of mine including the skills.

As cool as the idea of having more classes where to choose sounds, I believe that one of the problems of RO is the difficulty to balance between sooo many classes. Plus the game already has many classes left behind, that I would like to see the current classes functioning before inventing more classes.

They make new classes at a faster rate than they manage to care about the previous ones being equally interesting, along with the obvious imbalances... so, Id like it, but I have zero faith that gravity in the current state could pull it off decently.

I think they're great ideas. I don't really care for the engineer, but the rest sound pretty cool. Like the others said, it'll probably never happen, but they're still good ideas. =P

I think the presentation of your idea is flawed, but the fundamental idea is okay. It would be nice if there were more than one fully supported, distinct, and viable build for each class.

I actually think they all sound pretty good for the most part. It's pretty obvious it's just for fun.

I think the presentation of your idea is flawed, but the fundamental idea is okay. It would be nice if there were more than one fully supported, distinct, and viable build for each class.

I will add more details once I find my old file about this. I already had this idea and their skills and I developed it way before iro implemented the trans class.

i developed something in the same venue a while back almost merging some classes to form a class similar but based off the original classes more along the lines of a merging of existing 2-1 and 2-2 classes with a option for each based on focus of the original class for a "third " class. I think quite a few people have had ideas for a character class in ro theyd like to see(main reason some people like super novices despite harsh restrictions on hp/sp and gear.) Had the idea ever since I heard about trans classes i had skills and modifiers and job stats worked out. It was a fun couple days thinking stuff up even if I didnt quite find something for all classes. I could go retrieve the files if i could get my old comp to work. If not well its still a fun thought about what could have worked in old pre renewal. Id have to update it all to renewal mods etc if i bothered remaking it. I would be wiling to work with this as a for fun project

We can probably do a joint project and present this to KRO only after they fix he balance of all classes.

this is a creative idea, the names flow well and are interesting. tho i would say the whole bomberager or whatever it was coming off archer class would seem to fight the gunslinger line better.

Before the implementation of the Gunslinger class I was originally trying to make the archer class to become like them as they progress their jobs but unfortunately they implemented Gunslinger as a job class itself so I'm pretty much stuck on what else I can branch off from Archer class other than make them a specialize class equipped with explossive arrows and trap arrows. Also my 2-3 job class have the ability to walk while attacking much like Sages as they have the ability to walk and cast at the same time.
