im probably only realising this really late but from these kRO videos from this channel:

http://www.youtube.c...MEOMGLOL/videos

they all show that the nerfs were unnecessary

some stuff i noticed while watching the videos:
ranger's arrow storm doing 60k
minstrel at lv 149 doing 6k per hit for severe rainstorm (elven bow n arrow combo)
clashing spiral doing 100k with gloomy

and from what i heard, all these skills were nerfed badly during this balance so they shouldn't be doing more dmg than they were pre-balance :)

adoramus doing 100k, even tho they are shadow/undead, im sure this is really crazy

the super severe rainstorm i was talking about:

notice the clashing spiral does 100k over dmg and omg the cool bios 2-2!!!

shadow chasers can use firing traps again! since it should no longer be dependant on trap research

200k clashing spiral if you wanna see some uber dmg

Let's get the facts right.

1. Balance patch was NOT scrapped on kRO.
2. iRO is still behind few balance change/bug updates.
3. kRO is few episodes ahead of iRO, which means they have more equipments available to them.
4. Directly correlating to point #3, skills will do more damage since these new equipments directly or indirectly increase specific skill damage.

There are translations of kRO patches available on both warpportal and irowiki forums.. please utilize them to make informed threads.

Yep, lets get the facts right, indeed.

In the 200k CS damage video, you can clearly see the RK's equipment, He isnt using anything special other than a +10 cardo and he is dealing over 200k damage per hit?! Could someone explain hows that possible?

It was recorded before the spiral nerf on kRO.

Edit:
People should really look at the dates of these things and compare them to the kRO patchs. =/

Sep 02 2011, but isnt the balance patch over a year old?

Edit: nvm, the Kro's balance patch applied on the main server on Aug 31 2011.

First batch of major balance patch was finalized and applied on kRO main servers on 8/31/2011. All of the mentioned videos above have been posted in 9/02/2011, but it's very highly likely that those videos were taken before the balance patch. Looking at other videos, such as Adoramus, Arrow Storm, and Severe Rainstorm, equipments used in those videos come with episode 14.1, which iRO Sakray is going to get sometime this week or next week.

but then that means the power lvl of the community goes in a V shape

and this balance patch puts us at the valley of the V, should the GMs consider the new patches that brought kRO back up the slope and implement them altogether instead of just doing a huge nerf and make us live with it and then boost us again later

i wonder how you guys process the information from the koreans

isn't it all just translation? because afaik, programming language is something universal.

More like Adoramus plus lex aeterna doing 80~100k on shadow 4 monsters.
Also, while using judgment set to deal 3x damage. (without slots, increased damage from every race except demon/undead...)

As impressive as it looks like, I'm sure that same gear/build bishop would do really few damage on players, and would freeze/die faster than ever if trying to use it on players.

this place is full of people posting more and more wrong info about the game... mods should be given the power to temp-ban a few of them for a certain period. It's a win-win for everyone else; no more people like cydra or that other annoying dude spamming each and every thread with nonsense, less overall forums negativity and a community who isnt fed random inaccurate data by bored trolls. I understood it when everyone was POed when for weeks CMs were making promises they couldnt keep but now that we have the balance patch (which needs tweaks but its a work in progress) and that sakray is getting 14.1, I'm sick and tired of these misinformed QQ threads. I honestly feel like iwiki tirades is a much more troll-proof place than here.

Instead of QQin on forums and trying to reverse something that has been done already, you can spend that time in getting use to your character and perhaps enjoying it with the new changes and all...

How do I enjoy my 330 dmg traps and 240 SP nerfed severe rainstorm! Balance patch didn't really balance anything. It either over buffed skills or over nerfed skills.
I really hope the iRO fixes will come quickly.

True: Some players have classes that are temporarily unplayable because of balance patch

Also True: Some of these issues have been corrected by KRO with patches we don't yet have.

Real Problem: Dumb people making claims but not taking time out to research or verify them.

Go to iRO Wiki Forums.
Read kRO news.
Thank nice community members that translated and tested things for your benefit.

It's so simple.

Its a bit soon to start complaining about why the patch fails. Give it time, people will get adjusted.

As a mod, honestly we already have that sort of power but its only to be used in extreme circumstances. Simply banning people just because they're using their freedom of speech isn't the policy here, however freedom means staying within the rules of what can and can't be posted it does not give you a license to be a jerk / troll / generic term for troublemakers. There is more accountability here for our actions, very soon there will be a document visible for all to see on moderator policy to further lock in accountability as well as a policy to protest a decision peacefully.

Those videos can be before the balance patch. There are some gears that are implemented there and is not on iro like the RK gear set and siege gears.

Easy to get 200k CS. Gloomy + archer skeleton cardo + lex pre-patch.

You would be wrong then. My AB is 120 dex, 120 int. I KILL people in WoE with Adoramus NOW. Without the judgment set. Obviously not when we're fighting valk, but against just about anybody else. At the very least, I'll be looking at 10-15k damage w/ full WoE and gear reductions per cast, with up to 30k+ on badly geared players. On a virtually instant cast skill :) And since I still have 80 vit, the only things that I die super fast to are the usual OSK skills, and many of those, I can dodge with a well-timed pneuma.

Maybe I'm super mistaken, but the only adoramus that has hit me in woe has done like, under 1k damage...

Maybe adoramus could kill some players, but those killed players must be so badly geared that anything else would kill them too...

Maybe adoramus could kill some players, but those killed players must be so badly geared that anything else would kill them too...

Generally the people using adoramus aren't geared for maximum magical attack. I use a +9 Divine Cross for casting, and do massive amounts of damage, but the weapon makes such a MASSIVE difference in the damage that I do, that when I equip a one hand staff (like strong recovery wand) my damage on adoramus drops to ONE QUARTER of what it is with my Divine Cross. If not for knowing the judgement set was coming out, I would have made my DC +12. But I'm going to make the weapon for the Judgement set +12 and see how it does once it comes out. Iirc, the matk on that weapon is considerably lower than the DC, but at +12, I should be able to negate much of the difference.

You also have to keep in mind that when I say I can kill players from most guilds aside from Valkyrie, most of valk is 150, whereas most other guilds have a lot of members below 150. They probably have lower hp, and many of them, as you said, likely have inferior gear. The thing about Adoramus though, is the fact that it hits 10 times rapidly, and on those classes that don't have instant move skills, this prevents them from getting to me as quickly. Of course, between Pneuma and Safety Wall, 1v1, I can block a lot of the skills that can kill me, while continuing to use Adoramus. It's about playing smart. I never said that I one-shot people, but even if I don't kill them, I certainly make some people waste a lot of potions before they either kill me, or give up and run away.

I distinctly remember this one time it was myself and one FS AB from our guild, vs. a group of people from another guild whose name I won't mention. In 7-8 minutes, between myself and Saylah, we killed 4-5 people, and made the other 5 waste probably close to 1000 whites before a sura came out and finally dealt with us properly. Using SW, Pneuma, Lex, Adoramus, and Silentium (I think only 2 of them silenced), we disabled them and blocked their attacks, kept each other alive with high heal, and dealt massive amounts of damage with lexed adoramus, where I would see a person spam like 15-20 whites on a single cast. And since it took them like 7-8 minutes to take us down, you can only imagine the amount of frustration we caused.

Unfortunately, I don't often get the chance to do this anymore, cause much of our time is spent fighting/defending against the Valk Alliance, but I like to take full advantage when I have the opportunity. :)
