I heard it'd have rare accessories and such. I wonder if those will be tradable/sellable.

Let's get back on topic, please. Let's try to focus on what items everyone would like to see added to the EW point trade-in system.

Sorry, sorry, it was technically a reward system. But I'll stay on topic now.

Let's see.... how about longer duration variants of the EW backs or things that add extra days to those wings?

Of course pve rates are abysmal at higher levels. Thats how mmos work. This game makes money by not giving you what you want.

My main issue I have with pve rewards isn't just that the game doesn't give you want you want, it's that by the time you actually do get all the stuff you want, all your equips are completely outdated and need to be replaced with new gear because the stat transferring aspects of professions have been nerfed to the point where Windia Farm might as well have been burned down or taken out of the game completely.

There is really no reason to upgrade anything, until you can get your final endgame equips, but by the time you finally do get those equips and have them upgraded, unless you are a big cash spender, your equips are outdated! Additionally, we have rare modes, normal modes, and hero modes, but nobody ever does anything except for the hero mode. As is, having easier modes is a complete waste. Professions need to be changed back to normal,

but I also I feel like the system should be changed so that equips from normal mode are upgraded into rare equips using an item from rare mode and then subsequently upgraded into a hero level item using an item from hero mode, instead of having it how it is now, where you can get hero equips without having to ever even do any of the other modes. That would mean that people who aren't incredibly geared could actually do normal and rare mode and feel like they are actually getting something from it and progressing their characters. Of course, if we did implement such a change, drop rates and availability of the sets and the upgrade items would have to be made much better than the current rates of obtaining equips are now (since you would be doing 3 different modes instead of just one).

@ Rim, And I know this has been said before, but reinforced insurance need to be obtainable for non-IM spenders somehow. Reinforced insurance is the main thing I want to see given from EW.

As for players just showing up naked, yes, I'm sure stuff like that will happen until we get a more refined EW reward system that awards individual players for getting points or something and more points are given for wins. There are also some guild leaders who I wouldn't even trust to distribute the rewards evenly or fairly, and I think making guild leaders handle everything sounds like a rather lazy and poor idea. The question is, "How do you make an individual reward system that would be fair to all classes?" It really doesn't sound easy.

And as for the complaints about no PVE rewards, I thought this was so obvious that it didn't need to be said, but...

What incentive is there for players who like pvp to ever do pve if they can get everything they need just from EW? Also, If you implement a method of farming IM through PVE, and that method is reasonable and not limited in some manner (once a week, set duration, etc), what will happen to IM sales when everyone starts farming their own IM items? -airplane crashing noise- Going to EW only once a week, in order to get some IM points, is similar to showing up for an event. There is a limited time/limited duration of EW. You can't milk it all the time.

And I highly doubt the rewards given from a new EW system are going to be anything worth complaining about for those who happen to loathe PVP for some reason because if too many IM items are given out from EW, it is going to hurt sales. Companies are aware of this. Our assumption that the rewards will be reasonable has the same logic backing it that tells us we cannot have a reasonable way to farm IM items in PVE. The free stuff is like a sample, intended to moisten the lips and wet the appetite. Take it if you want it, buy it if you really like it, but don't get mad about it. =/

To me, complaining about free EW rewards seems almost as silly as complaining about the "unfair samples" being given out at Publix, just because Publix isn't your favorite grocery store!

I agree, I'd like to see reinforced insurance added as well. I don't see why we should discourage players from attempting to enchant gear past +15, and since the quantity will probably be limited to avoid hurting sales, as Maronu noted, I doubt it would be an abuse issue.

From what I was told, it sounded like initially points would be awarded based solely on participation -- but whether that means just showing up or it means actually scoring points in EW (by killing other players, completing missions, etc.), I don't recall that being revealed.

Personally, I feel that the new EW system should use a concept similar to the CP awarded from Ranked PvP, and I believe it also should place emphasis on completing missions rather than simply killing stuff.

But the problem there is that the current mission system is wonky, random and not very fair. Ideally, I think it would be neat to see more points awarded for completing missions than for defeating other players, but that would have to mean a revamp of the mission system that ensures that players will *always* have a mission they can actually complete (meaning, for instance, if no dragonkin are on the opposing team, you won't get any missions telling you to "attack/defeat a summoner/twin fighter," and you won't get missions telling you to use a skill you don't have). To that end, I think missions should be more generalized in the sense that they don't specify a class to attack/defeat, a particular skill to use, etc. For instance, in the current EW setup, I would prefer missions like, "Use 3 different skills on the same opponent within 10 seconds," or "Buff at least 3 allies using one support skill."

Of course, there's also the option of redesigning EW completely. Take, for instance, the newly announced PvP mode that has players defending towers from enemies. Rather than making EW about simply bashing other players, why not make it more strategic, and ask players to defend specific points or objects in a similar fashion? I have some more in-depth ideas on the subject, but rather than post them here I'll make a thread under Suggestions.

The very reason a Mission Filter is needed.

However you are right, if points are awarded for participation, then we need to make sure all can get it with actually possible to complete missions.

Also perhaps my next suggestion will help with making defending possible:

Perhaps we can allow points to be spent of special defense assistance items. Things like path-blockers, defense towers, etc., etc. to make defending alittle easier. Perhaps like an entire team buffs of EW buff's the man sells. The reason I suggest making defense alittle easier to pull off because atm it is possible but that all depends on your opponent/mercenaries as well as your line up.

so make it so stacked guilds can hold castle even easier? No thanks, if anything I would suggest items that can be used in by attacking guilds to help take castles.

Or that too. Part of the reason for lack of participation is guilds not being able to get an edge against stacked guilds.

Ive never participated in EW but I intend to join a guild and do so soon this are some of the things i think would be cool for rewards
A Gacha Box that can contain any of the following
Exp Pot(Common)
Souls (Common)
Enchant Dust Armor + Weapon (Common)
Random Proffesion Items(Common) Hammers, Soul Extractors Ect
Phoenix Feather(Rare)Most People dont buy these anyway but a decent reward to have
Insurance Scrolls 3-5(Rare)3-5 are a small amount giving more than that might make people stop buyng them from the Item Mall
Unique Emporia IM Armor?(Very Rare) <<<This Dosnt exist but id be cool to get an IM Armor from EW that can only be obtained there

Currently, a few, but not all of the ideas that we have so far for obtaining points are:

- Guild particapation in EW(low number of points)
- EW Guild v. Guild win or Tournament bracket win(not including 1* and 2*)
- 1* Win
- 2* Win
- 1* Hold
- 2* Hold

All points would be for guilds only. There will be pre-requisites for the guild to participate in this system and possibly a registration initially to prevent abuse. Guild Leaders will manage ALL point exchanges for items as well as ALL distribution to the guild members. WarpPortal would not be responsible for it. As for prizes, we're collecting all the ideas submitted here and evaluating them and giving them a rank.

We're currently reviewing a few other scenarios and ideas as well, but this is likely the base of system.

I would suggest successfully defending 1* give the highest amount of points since it's the hardest thing in EW to do.

Agreed. The 2* has Dragon Fear status to assist defenders.

Oh my bad, let me list all of them I know:

-2*'s Fear status.
-1* has freezing and move-spd reduction. It doesn't make much of a difference that thing is too frail vs several +16 to 20's.
-2*'s attacks just knockdown and flinch.

Around this summer is a large update. Among which are class balances, new Emporia War points and rankings, new pvp modes, and other stuff. Find the thread on it for more info.

That would be making items more available in a different setting than they are in their original setting.

This statement applies to the idea of receiving IM from PvP as well. I don't personally believe anyone in their right mind would willingly pay for something once it's made more available for free in-game (long term), except for the few individuals who make purchases to sell to others or support the game/game's host. But I'll assume the hosts will balance things out somehow.

Let's get back on topic, please. Let's try to focus on what items everyone would like to see added to the EW point trade-in system.

Also on that note, more rewards for PvP are certainly extremely welcoming. And rather than putting PvE set rewards for PvP modes, I think specific PvP rewards such as PvP sets would be much more viable
.

Both PvE and IM have lots of useful content exclusive to their game play. I'd like to see an EW system that offers more content exclusive to PvP. Content including things like sets with "new" stats tailored to PvP combat, fashion sets themed to combat, and pets you can use in PvP. All of this would otherwise be unobtainable [in IM/PvE].

The system could also incorporate content that is hard to come by otherwise, things like IM items or rare PvE drops but I don't think these items should be prioritized as the main reward. Maybe a new NPC could be made, one that sells special boxes that can only be purchased using the new EW system. The new NPC could sell various things like PvP armor and accessories as well as special boxes with a chance to give the patron PvE or IM content. Those boxes could be made to be more dissuasive purchases than special boxes with a chance for PvP content. The purchase of boxes could be limited to a certain number per time period (e.g. 2 months) based on guild level and/or number of members (e.g. level 5 guilds can purchase a maximum of 50 boxes and/or set pieces per time period).

In the likely case that new content for this purpose isn't actually a viable option go with IM, but it seems a lot like giving advice to the guy who just won a gold medal to me. Sure it won't hurt him, but do you really think he needs it? Point being you're not going to win a war in average gear.

The free stuff is like a sample, intended to moisten the lips and wet the appetite.

P.S.: Don't you just hate it when sentences don't end the way you potato?
