given that they are being given to us for free i wouldn't think to complain too much, but maybe a few extra x-mas keys would be nice

The first group was sent out last night for everyone that made it to 500 IM. We'll be sending more out today.

really its not so free, and im not talking about the effort to lvl up
they want more accounts for this game, even if its the same human's because it looks good on paper, for the parent company, and shareholders
it encouraged people to tell their friends to join, i.e to get them more customers down the line
it has people level a NEW toon, and later on theyll need to get it geared if it turns out they like it...mm more IM purchases
it gives people a taste of the item mall, so many of the items are time based, and there is so much fashion cycled, theyre wanting people to get hooked
it was great free publicity/advertising
the sad thing is the people that did start this game because they were told of this event will now see the quality of service and prolly be a bit pissed

Great marketing plan, but was it really free for the players... the players were being used for a specific set of goals, under a pretense of the IM coming in..would be nice to have it before xmas to prepare any in game gifts...
