Hello everyone,
I was doing the nidd runs on my ranger before using the fire trap built and it used to go smooth for me before the balance patch. Now after the balance patch since the traps are element based and no more neutral, i was wondering if any1 has tried doing nidd solo on a ranger and if it is still possible. Lemme know about it. it's possible, if u have lots of SP items with ya and have lvl10 Arrow Storm, lvl10 Aimbolt, lvl5 Electric shock, and lvl5 wargstrike. just spam skills on him via switching skills after the other ( u can't spam by jst using 1 skill) you should be able to kill him faster. i think 40ygg should do the work.

Yes you can still solo the instance with little to no supplies too.

Wat u mean? The trapper built can still do it? Have u tried it?

The trapper build cant solo it anymore, at least not efficiently.

i doubt traps r any good on any mvp anymore

trapper build was a bugged build, it involved laying 10 talkie traps and then spamming fire trap ontop of them
allowing your quad hunterfly dagger to be constantly procin for hp/sp regen....

made rangers basicly unkillable by mvps unless they could 1 hit them... kinda sad really

grow up a make a real ranger with 193 atk spd and hit lock the mvp while u tank its mob

or just kite it while laying traps... ranger are not a tanking class

For nidd quest i use to tank mvp proudly without talkie lol... and hardly used pots...

Nid itself shouldn't be the problem. Killing the phyllas before Nid cast Full Heal is a tougher situation. Why are phylla's hp reverted back to default? I couldn't solo it cause of this but duo was possible. Just need to bring someone who can kill the phylla faster after he teleports you.

phylla's hp were at 80kish because the gm's changed it for the turn in lvling before, and they didn't remember to revert it back. can't complain if they reverted it back, nid run before then used to be beyond a joke.

the phyllas and rynchos all have buffed atk now, i used to think they tickle unles in mobs of 10 or so, now im stuck with 5 or so and depleting hp like mad

the hp thing is also very irritating

as for nid, HE IS MADLY AND GREATLY BUFFED

previously, with an alice shield and an AK helm i could let him tickle me while i spam ranked slims and bomb him, occasionally using ygg seeds when he uses critical wounds

now, he hurts so badly that i can die like a fly and i have to RUN and BOMB. Its like the cheapest tactic any gen can pull. Still, this tactic made me use loads of potions

The life stream thing is 2 minutes cast if im not wrong, so do not worry too badly unless you seriously suck

193 aspd on ranger is possible and it causes monsters to never get near you..... EVER. Perhaps that would work vs Nid, i've seen it vs Hatti at least. As for the mobs, i dunno, think of something.

^ Ya it works on almost all MvPs. About the mobs, well you tank them like a boss

For mobs I suggest autocasr gear that procs upon atking like rofl or ifrit mask so that the skills meteor assault and auto bowling bash will whack those mobs

ummm so u guys suggest going for bow type, no more trapper built for mvp's?

yes, yes they can. )) But as for a trapper Ranger... not so sure. Bow type seems to be best bet now. 192+ aspd, warg strike, fear breeze, aimed bolt, arrow storm.

takes time getting use to, though. must adjust to "new" playing style.
