So we got a new router/connection that places priority on video streaming above all else. In a household with a down rate of only 1.2Megabits/s and two other people constantly streaming video... I get hit with all the latency that makes RO near impossible to play.
Is there anything I can do about this?
I'd been searching Google for any info, and the closest I could find is the ability to use port forwarding for RO's ports. (similar to: http://forums.warppo...net-connection/ ) I'm not sure if that actually does anything though, since most of the topics about it are regarding XBoxes being able to connect, rather then dealing with latency. Also in our router's settings I haven't found a way to enable "NAT default server" or "IP passthrough", so couldn't test it either. (They're both stuck off, regardless of whether I add anything to the "NAT/Gaming" list.)
Service: AT&T Uverse
Router: Motorola NVG510
