Welcome. =P

Agility Knights are usually pretty easy starts.

You can read up on different classes here:

www.irowiki.org

Otherwise, look at some of the guides on the forum. =) Good luck.

Well I did say in my thread, and no one has posted anything to really contradict them, some Pro's and Con's. Here they are.

- Highest HP of all characters.
- Any build is High Damage output
- Recovers HP pretty fast with the skill.

- VERY VERY VERY Equipment dependent all through the game.
- Needs a LOT OF $$$$$
- Needs to rest frequently after fights to recover HP and SP.
- To level "effectively" really needs a party. Almost mandatory past lvl 35ish.

If I had to rate the Normal standard chars from Easiest to Hardest for a starting character it would probally be like this:

1. Mage
2. Thief
3. Archer
4. Acolyte
5. Swordsman
6. Merchant

Although the Acolyte is kind of difficult to place. Most of these ratings are based on the fact that you will be new and not have many friends. Acolyte is rated over Swordy since it can self heal easily as well as self Buff. This is primarily due to the fact that almost no Acolyte build does NOT get Lvl 10 Blessing. It is just way to useful a skill since it increases Strength, Intelligence and Dexterity. So for Melee type chars they can hit harder (Str) and hit more often (Dex), for casters they can hit harder (Int) and Cast Faster (Dex). Also they can make friends quicker than other classes.

Make a TaeKwon Kid! They're super easy to equip and the TK quest is super easy. I loved my TK Girl, now a Soul Link (also awesome!)

I did not follow the link posted up there, but from what was written I'd say it's probably rather accurate.

Honestly, I think the first character you should make is a theif. I hate Sins... but thats mostly 'cause they're kind of over powered (and with maybe half the equip costs of an agi knight). But make a Sin, do what you can to level up here and there. Do hunting quests and such for quicker levels, etc. I didn't catch if this was Ymir or Valk... but since it's probably valk, I don't know much more to offer.

Try to collect the items you need for the 3rd seal quest so that you can do that and get yourself an ice pick (practically necissary) for leveling on goats and ice titans... uh... and untill then, just do whatever you want. High agi, high str, low dex, low int, low vit, and no luck.... for the most part at least thats the typical outline.

Since you don't have gears, you'll probably want to get str to about 30 and dex to 20 and work on agi till it's maybe 70ish? Get some daggers and have fun with it.

Are you smoking crack or something?

Swordie is not the easiest, but it is nowhere near as hard as you make it out to be.

Swordies (like merchants) hit a rough spot from like 40 to 5x when you change to second job. Once there, you just need a pike and a shield, and you can start pierce leveling solo or with a priest. Once you can afford a carded HO pike and are like level 7x-80, you solo faster than any other non trans class 1-shotting HO's in CT, with only basic armor, carded pike, and an endow.

Acolyte is much harder, because finding parties is very hard at low levels, and you cant solo either. And battle acos are worse still than support ones, because they can't party either, yet cant solo well either.

You know this is just my opinion and I am not forcing it on anyone else. I have like 18 chars and I am just saying that this has been my experience while lvling. Although I do have to admit that none of my guys has trans'd, just don't have the patience. Saying I am smoking crack really doesn't aid in a free discussion here does it?

I did perhaps forget to mention the fact that most times swordies are welcome in parties as "Pullers". Meaning they use Provoke to get a bunch of monsters to follow them into range so a party can kill them. But this is very dangerous as you will be inviting mobs to try to kill you. And I have never really seen a puller in a party without a Acolyte/Priest there to Heal and Buff them.

Also Pierce leveling is dependent on the person going from Swordy - Knight, and ignores the possibility of them going for a Crusader.

The fact is I agree that the 4th and 5th slots are kind of hard to decide for the Swordsman and Acolyte. I did say, and I quote "Although the Acolyte is kind of difficult to place.". I am just glad you didn't try to give the 3rd spot or higher to the swordy. The other reason I put aco higher is because they always have the option of Heal Bombing and that is pretty easy, and also doesn't require any carded weapons or even parties.

Please anyone else weigh in with an oppinion. Which class should take the 4th spot, Acolyte or Swordy. Keeping in mind, 1. First and only character, and 2. Not really any Money to buy crap.

I found Bard very easy, first I 1-2 shotted things as archer with NPC weapons, then string in parties. Also everyone loves strings so its a solid build as well.
