I would like to know why (answered by a GM please, not speculation from players) AB and Lock sets are given randomly when the others get to pick the set they want and why does the first enchant on AB/Lock gear break the item guaranteed on fail, while costing twice as much, and the other gear sets not only get to pick their enchant pool, but get 2 enchants before risk of breaking?

This doesnt make any sense at all considering how much harder it is to form an AB or Lock set.

If any GMs agree that this is one of the stupidest things in the game, please contact me with info on restoring my Wand of Affection and push the other GMs to have this system changed to be fair for all classes.

Any players who agree with this please show support and consider this a petition for change by simply replying with the word "signed" indicating your support and agreement that this is stupid.

Thank you all for your time and consideration

The gear which breaks easier is also much weaker.

Lock set = +60% damage... on one element, while getting -60% to another, getting a resistance heavily penalized, and being forced to use armor that isn't merely subpar, but is utter crap, all while lowering global MATK because you have to give up a better weapon, so you don't even get the full 60% on that one element.

White Wing = +30% on everything, +50% on your main killing skill, doesn't require a weapon, so you can still equip Elven bow and arrows for a grand total of +80% to everything and x1.5 stacking on Arrow Storms... with no drawbacks beyond the set pieces being subpar on their own.

So yeah... 3-4x cost for half of the power (way less than half on a mixed element map)... with one element, so you'll need to do it 4 times... or more, since you don't actually pick what you get.

I think kRO just absolutely loathes casters.

Because the Mora gear sets were designed by the very same kRO dev that came up with the HP mods for the classes and also the KVM2 armor sets for casters and priest class too. lol. You expected it to be different?

It's not hard to know why... there are many fansites that have translated kRO patch notices. The answer is simple. WL and AB sets were released first over a year ago before any major balances. The new Ranger, RK and GX sets were released after 4/13/11 with the full intention of them working well with the new balance changes.

You should know by now that kRO doesn't understand the balance of their game. They barely understand their own game mechanics and think the game is still on episode 13.2 pre-renewal. :blah:

Im attempting to gather support to push iRO GMs to take a stand when something is clearly imbalanced, instead of just bashing kRO why not just say that you support this cause for an intelligent fix?

As I said, I dont want player speculation littering this thread. This is a petition, just say you agree and you'd like to see some actual balance introduced to the game, with or without kRO's approval.

The balance patch already cost the servers a massive drop in population and a large amount of that wasn't specifically due to the changes, it was largely due to the fact that the GMs wouldn't take matters into their own hands no matter how stupid something seemed. We are told the Balance project is an ongoing thing, which suggests the GMs have more power to make changes then we are lead to believe and this post's sole purpose is to bring to their attention the fact that there is serious imbalance in the way this gear/enchant system works, and by pooling together and telling them their player base won't stand for something this rediculous we may get things rolling in a positive direction.

Please, no more bashing kRO, I want replies that encourage the GMs to listen to us and make changes that they KNOW are right.

Since the GMs have power over NPCs like gramps, perhaps an NPC that will trade one judgement pieces for affection pieces and vice versa and for warlocks, they trade in one elemental piece for a the same piece of the element of their choosing and reward ABs and Locks with 2 "safe enchant certs" upon receiving a piece of gear from the artfact dealers so that they are on even ground with the other classes.

This would (I believe) be very much within the power of iRO GMs and would bring significant balance to the way the gear/enchant system works, so players, if you agree with this just show your support and post that you agree and encourage it rather than belittle kRO. That way there is less for the GMs to sort through when going through this thread. If there are 1000 replies that say "I agree and encourage this change" its alot easier to manage than if there are 1000 long-winded complaints about kRO, right?

So lets pool together positively and make this change happen!

One slight problem... this thread was created on a Friday night, which means it will almost certainly fall to page 2 and be forgotten before the GMs get into work on Monday. We'll have to try to keep it alive until then.

I believe server pop is down because gm's suspended all woe over the holidays. The balance patches should of helped but the gm's disabled the primary reason most of the guilds play.

You forgot that school/college is back in session? That should account for the majority of the population loss for the past week. Though I can blame it on the WoE Events as well.

Rally support from all your friends regardless of what they main!

I main an RK and barely ever use my AB and Im only High Wizzy but I thought this system was unfair and wanted to see a change. We need to keep this thread alive in the name of balance! Go forth and spread the word to all who want the same! And until this change comes, good luck to all AB's and Locks going for their sets :blah: !
