When I go to convert WP to KP, it says I am qualified for 5% bonus points with a conversion, but when I go to try to convert 300 points, it just says 300 points. Shouldn't it convert to 315 points? (The difference between getting a BM Box and not atm)

I asked Oda about this before, and I *believe* the answer is that it has to be above the first conversion bonus rate (1,000 WPE).

You th 5% bonus is done only on the WP -> Game points.
Your payment method should be completely irrelevant for this.

If it is that game acct's first point transfer from WP -> game of that month then it gets the 5%. The quantity of points transferred shouldn't matter either, smaller values may have rounding issues like transferring 22 pts would only get you 1 point not 1.1 pts.

If it isn't working like that please write in and tell us the WP account (the email) and what game account you are trying to convert points too so we can make sure things are working as they should.

It was two separate questions. It didn't seem to want to give me bonus points for transferring 300 points, little late now though, as I transferred a larger amount through instead. I'll check if an opportunity arises in the future though.


The payment method question was an unrelated question, I had a Visa giftcard and was trying to find something I could use it for but the website wouldn't accept it. I just bought a gamecard with it at 7/11 instead.

Those prepaid giftcards are useless for most purposes, because they don't have a billing address. They need to give them a placeholder billing address so people can actually use them.

Yeah, they're pretty useless. If you want to get someone a gift, either give them cash or a real giftcard for something specific.

Or something unspecific and useful - Amazon giftcards ftw (coinstar's tieup with amazon has made it possible to get the full value for change now, since you'll always spend amazon $ - it's quite an improvement).

Or if you want to give something maximally versatile, and your give-ee has a paypal acct with debit card, a Green Dot reload card would be the way to go (they feed paypal balance - I've used them when i needed $ in paypal instantly).

Those visa gift cards are so useless. They usually get carried around for ages, and are always hard to use, even at some brick and mortar stores.

I've discovered, also, the girl at the grocery store will let me buy beer with it without even bothering to check my ID. But yeah, Amazon giftcard is the way to go.
