The Lord of the Dead Helm no longer has a graphic on the character wearing it. I have tried changing maps, relogging to character screen, and rebooting the entirer client and nothing works. Please fix

I have reinstalled the client and I'm not the only person experiencing this issue.
How bout the GM's fix the issue? This angers me that the response I get is reinstall the client. You think I'd report this issue if it hadn't happened after tha patch last night. The sprite issue is a result of the patch from last night and this is a bug that needs to be fixed. Also since you claim the sprite issue requires a re-download of the client show me a screenshot from today where u urself see the helm.

So it was broken after the late night patch? You could have mentioned that in the original post. I haven't been on RO since the patch, so I wouldn't know about any issue that new. I'll test this tonight when I get home.

In absence of a connection to a recent patch, and in absence of other reports (you're the only post i've seen on it), missing or incorrect sprites calls for a reinstall.

I said nothing about a re-download, either - the client download hasn't been updated since last spring, so if a working RO install has been made from that installer, there's no reason to suspect that it's bad...

Well this issue did not appear until after last nights patch and i have tested the issue with 10 other people, and no one has been able to see the helm.

tested a while ago, lotd helm sprite does not show when equipped

I'll make sure the GMs know - I am not a GM, I'm just a forum mod, and my power is limited to forum moderation and being able to contact Oda and Heim via instant messenger (which I can't do from work, at least not until I get a smartphone).

Ditto - Broken sprite - tested on other people - disabled on all maps and all classes the effects still work tho thx gawd...

Just got LotD helm tonight, and it's also not working for me (as in not displaying on my character). Have there been any updates for this issue? I was sorely disappointed when I realized the glitch too late. I can't speak for the mechanics of the helm since I haven't tested it yet. Didn't want to mess with it until I obtained more information. Any progress?

Don't worry about the mechanics - the helm works fine, and once they fix the sprite, everything will be fine. You can go ahead and use/upgrade/etc it, and have no fear of losing it. You just won't look as stylish while wearing it until the patch goes out.

The fix also doesn't need a maint to remedy, as it's a client issue (for whatever reason, the sprite for it is bugged - not missing, as you'd get errors if that were the case, but bugged in some undetermined way - maybe replaced with a blank sprite like the gemmed salad, or maybe bugged in some other way)


Also, on a personal note... Comic Sans is not flattering.

A fix has been implemented for this with yesterday's maintenance.
