AzzyAI 1.40 Dev 6:

1.40 Dev 6
* Corrected issue with AttackRange() leading to homuns not closing to 1 cell range, resulting in Filirs and Eleanors not closing to skill range
* Corrected issue with MotionClasses resulting in monsters currently targeting the owner not being correctly given priority
* Follow state no longer attempts to move to the owner's location; That doesn't work anymore. Follow state will now move to 1 cell range if it can't move to distance specified in FollowStayBack for ~500ms, and after another ~500ms it will use MoveToOwner() builtin.
* Corrected issue where follow behavior did not return to normal if the homun was interrupted while in follow state. Combined with above, homun could hang in freeze state until vap/recalled.
* M_SkillList.lua now loads.
* Accellerated Flight now works. It is classified as a defensive skill (turn on UseAutoGuard to use it).
* Obsolete code removed from AzzyUtil
* Pierce size removed. This variable and tactic will be removed or repurposed in a future release.
* Added AoE info to the skill info database - this is not currently used.
* Added additional AI tracing.
* Removed unneeded files accidentally included in previous packages.

Edit: oops! Just fixed issue with missing config program. Note that this will be the last version supported by the old config program!

Edit: Again, fixed another issue. How does a search/replace manage to miss 1 line, but correctly change the lines on both sides of it?!

change of mind, decided to post the error here, got flooded with a LUA Loop, will post it once i rescue my charactor off of a agro map

M_SkillList.lua:113: attempt to index global 'SkillInfo' (a nil value)

attempt to call a nil value

Loop to start

The only settings i changed were Kiting:True ParanoidKiting:True AgroHP:100 and on the tactics menu default tactics UsePushback:Off Self Kiting:Always

If you can get dev 6 to fail, definitely - I added some tracing logic to get more information from the situation you're experiencing (hopefully).

If you can get dev 6 to fail, definitely - I added some tracing logic to get more information from the situation you're experiencing (hopefully).

If I see something off ill make sure to trace and report it XD Im sick so im not going anywhere tonight haha. But how does the new tracing logic work? Do I need to look into a different file or is it something just added to the trace information?

Also im still getting that AAI_Warning file showing up in my RO folder every time I switch maps or bring out my Unicorn. Does this mean there is something wrong? Its completely empty so its pretty odd...

Nothing special for the new trace, just changed what's logged to TraceAI().

Hope you feel better.

I'm going to investigate why AAI_Warning is being created as an empty file. I'm actually quite baffled by that, as it's supposed to be AAI_Warning.log, and it's supposed to be created only if somethings being saved in it. At this point, I would say that the creation of empty AAI_Warning files is a bug.

I noticed a strange behavior with the homunc, I didnt have a chance to trace it since I was observing it XD If it does it again ill make sure to trace.

It was sort of like the bug where the homunc would have monsters attacking it but it would not be doing anything. Now it seems the homunc does almost the same thing except every 20-45 seconds it would physically attack once and then stop moving for a short amount of time and then it resumed its normal behavior. I think it may have been a one time thing since I cant seem to recreate the event. (And I wasnt lagging or anything since I could see the monsters attacking and a bunch of 'Miss'es above my unicorn)

No LUA errors! Hurray, Maintains weapon quicken perfectly timed, but no longer Provokes, Even with Provoke owner true on, before she was able to maintain both (Merc Archer Level 8 Scroll)

Dance attack turned on does nothing, no movement between cells no attack speed increase

Would really like to be able to trust him to afk for 5 min at a time again... This was in OD1 with a handful of zombies on me as well as him.

The above lines repeated over and over for multiple pages...looks like about 12 lines. I tried moving him manually and he wouldn't unbug till I vaporized/recalled three times...not sure what the issue there is =[

Please post at least 5 seconds of trace, more if there are gaps in the trace output (see the last number in the gibberish? That's time in seconds). Don't worry about making a gigantic post. I want to be able to count AI cycles and line them up with RL time to look for fast-change loops, and look for gaps in AI() calls due to the client bug that could be contributing, and in the case of the follow state hang, see whether any of my follow state trace calls are being triggered. Posting a snippet and saying "it's this over and over" really doesn't give me enough to go on. I was, with dev 5, able to reproduce the follow state hang - but I thought I thoroughly fixed it, and havn't been able to reproduce it since.

If you get the freeze again, if possible, can you also take a screenshot while it's in that state?
Have you changed any tactics? If so, post H_Tactics
Have you changed any config options? If so, what?

I've been running my AI in OD2 and haven't been getting these issues.

So far as Homun tactics and settings, the only thing I changed from the default settings is to enable dance attack. Since he's a skill-less amistr, it makes a big difference, and most other settings are irrelevant...

This latest freeze seems similar, at least in part to the last one with the repeating non-empty rescue list thing, but then switched to another repeating block of commands. I snapped a screenshot, but it doesn't seem to tell much...I can upload it later if you want. I used Alt+T twice this time to get him to start killing again as he should.

Tried using a lvl 6 merc scroll and got the repeating 'nil value' errors, didn't get the exact text, but will try to get it later today. This was without changing any merc ai settings.

So far as Homun tactics and settings, the only thing I changed from the default settings is to enable dance attack. Since he's a skill-less amistr, it makes a big difference, and most other settings are irrelevant...

This latest freeze seems similar, at least in part to the last one with the repeating non-empty rescue list thing, but then switched to another repeating block of commands. I snapped a screenshot, but it doesn't seem to tell much...I can upload it later if you want. I used Alt+T twice this time to get him to start killing again as he should.

Is there any way to post screenshots on this forum without uploading them first somewhere else? As for the traceai, I completely deleted the old file before recording that one...I'll try redownloading Dev 6 though, maybe I have an outdated one.

I'm at work atm but will try to get more info on the merc problem when I get home...also it was a lvl 6 *spear* merc, if that makes a difference, lol. Just realized I never specified.
