I know defense/magic resistance has diminishing returns, but it's very hard figure out the difference between say 6000 and 8500. That's why I think when you run your cursor over defense in the alt-a page it states along with block stats damage reduced by x%. That way it's possible to know what your defense actually does for a player and they can more accurately calculate what gear to use, especially with the crystal defenders and such coming out eventually.
