cannot log in to my account. VIP status

I should note however the account I can log into is a VIP account.

For a brief 15-20 minute perid the "out of available paid playing time" was replaced by another error message. One say "Rejected from serer (30). However after just trying again... I am back to the "out of available paid playing time." Nothing has changed.

Its not sounding like a ddos attack tho, if it was a ddos attack then things would either been slowed down to a crawl, or unavailable to everyone.

It's DDoS. The overall effect on the iRO server is based on the IP they target which is the log in server (which also holds the payment server, the character server and the part of the server that controls guild and party chats). Normally with these you can 'feel' it coming. Depending on what zone your are in, you will feel the lag build (its not normal game lag) and the server will begin to randomly DC people as it struggles to cope with the load. The attack on the log in will then just have a bit of a cascade effect from login, to payment, to character etc. It was like this a bit over a year ago, and again for the last 6 weeks. Play on iRO long enough, then you've seen it all before and know what is going on. Unfortunately, while the Gravity IT team throw around wacky phrases such as Zombie Malware and Attack vectors, then I have my doubts about their ability to diagnose the problem and identify the source.

Whatever was changed at that time did something to cause the issue up to now.

The change to Ymir WoE1 time is the cause. That's when it all began and the attacks on the whole (though not all) are coming from outside of the US, from a small group of people that were unhappy with the time change. (Note: this is just supposition based upon 'the obvious' though) That's why they target WoE mainly, and also launch attacks when they know that the office will have minimal or no staff on.

Im still holding onto my theory that someone just botched a line of code somewhere.

I'ts 7:57 PST/server time, I just tried to log on. I logged in OK with one character, but when I tried to switch I got the whole DC'ed from server, you are out of paid gaming time, game will close (10) thing.

So whatever was done earlier is still not resolved for this issue.

if you don't roll back castles or do something for these disconnect/login down you gms are just retards :/

srsly players are disconnecting randomly and players could enter castles before they were blocked.
