I'm trying to figure out where to get Karvodailnirol at. The monster drop rate sucks and I don't want to spend 150k for a single poison bottle. Any suggestions?

So far the best place I've found would be Poison Spores.

I always thought Removers in Bio 1 were the best for Karvos

I don't know if you know this but, If you really need them get your guild leader to buy them from the WPS NPC in prontera with the Coins that drop from the treasure box...

Much cheaper that way.

They have higher drop rate.. BUT Posion Spores are easier/faster to kill and the map north of geffen is packed with them. I usually gather like 4-5 in 30mins up there. I bet I could get a whole lot more with a Rogue. VIP though.

Oh how the times change. I would make a rogue if it wasn't for the fact that after seeing all the rogue bots on Ygg that I might get called a bot lol.

Then make it trans as a Stalker and you won't look liek a bot. I've yet to see a Stalker bot.

This is what caused me to be interested in pets in the first place; I took a pet with me on my rogue to let people know I wasn't a bot. Never yet saw a bot with a pet, and I doubt I ever will. Got used to it, and now I'm hardly comfortable without one, on any char but FS.

Touche my good sir. Even though I did see 5 level 99 rogues while poking Alarms.

Damn now I have the urge to make a stalker called Botter

I had thought about that, but this is going to be for my personal supply of Poison Bottles to be used whenever I feel like something needs to die quick.

And Mixtures and Counteragents. All rare(ish) items, so why no Karvos?

I didn't create the game so I couldn't tell you lol and if I did I would probably set it at 100 mushroom spores per Karvos (probably lower it later if I did)

Yea I just cultivated a couple hundred mushrooms and only got one Karvo so far. Rate needs increased or Karvos need added to the Change Material skill.

Karvo is SUPPOSED TO BE HARD TO GET - that's why it's used as an ingredient for creating EDP bottles. The whole point of EDP is that it's expensive enough to use that you have to put some thought into when you use it. If you could just pop it whenever you felt like it, the SinX/GX classes would be grossly overpowered.

150k for a poison bottle is cheap IMO - back pre-renewal, poison bottles were 300-400k each, and at one point they were like 600k on Ymir/Loki... and people still bought and used them!

The whole point of EDP is that you trade zeny (in the form of an expensive item, which is expensive because it's difficult to hunt effectively, otherwise it wouldn't be expensive) to get a large, short-term damage boost.

I suspect that it's omission from change material was intentional - to maintain balance.

There's hard to get, and then there's just stupid drop rates. The current drop rates are sitting in the second category right now.

Hm... shouldn't it be easier and faster to farm, if you take a Chemist who has Plant Cultivation spamming Mushrooms and kill them with a mass-skill (like Cart Revo)?
Just a thought, not tested or anything.

With a high aspd biochem (to place mushrooms faster), a TKM, and a greeder with gum on a 3rd account, the drop rate of karvos is pretty decent. Every minute or so you can get 2-5 karvos depending on your luck.

To effectively farm karvos using this method, have this setup:
1. Biochemist with Cultivate Plant
2. Ranger/Shadow Chaser with Steal, Fire Trap 5 and 100 Dex. You can get Steal for a Ranger using Joker carded accesory.
3. Plant mushrooms with Cultivate plant like this:
XXX
X X
XXX
4. Get on the middle and start stealing from the mushrooms.
5. Fire Trap when done to get more Karvos from drops. A backpack would be nice to get all the loot in 1 stroke.
