I installed on another drive. A "fail to get" means something wrong between you and the patcher. Just retry patching and if that doesn't work, submit a ticket to http://support.warpportal.com
For some reason, if you want to track your support tickets, you'll need to set up a separate account at the support page.

I tried a couple times to install on my D: drive. After a few unsuccessful attemps I just installed to program files on my C: drive.

You theoretically can install on any drive you want. The problem is probably with the patcher. If the game will not patch, uninstall the game completely, delete your gravity/ragnarok online folder, and then try to reinstall. It'll eventually patch. The game's patch client seems to be in serious need of some serious bug fixes.

STFU if you don't know what you are talking about.

If you are having troubles patching it on YOUR end, either you have a crap connection to the internet or you have FTP disabled / restricted in some security settings... either in Internet Exploder or your firewall. http://forums.warppo...tyle_emoticons/default/icon_banghead.gif

I use Firefox. The Patcher was already unblocked through my firewall. Please STFU if you can't contribute ANYTHING remotely helpful. Please STFU if you can't behave any better than a three year old child.

Good lord, what happened to manners here? And for that matter, people who knew what they were talking about providing answers?

"Failed to get" means just that - the patcher tried to download a file, and had problems downloading it - not problems saving it, or applying it, or anything else.

It is thus probably a network problem. When you receive the error, does it occur on the same file every time, or a different one? Many people lately have been reporting that they get "failed to get" errors on random files. Keep trying, and it will eventually not-fail until the end. The errors are due to random interruptions in the download due to network issues (either at the ISP level, or possibly due to dodgy wireless - try using a wired connection for the first patchup). You may also get better results trying to patch at off-peak times, when there is less network congestion.

The reason this is such a nasty problem is that the client does not record patches that it has applied until all patches are applied - so on a new install, if you fail on file 99 out of 100, even if all the others downloaded and were applied successfully, the next time you have to start over. You can hex edit patch.inf to address this, but that is beyond the scope of this post.

Yeah, because in Windows you network security settings are handled though Firefox..... right. Understand your computer better than a brain damaged 2 year old.

Actually read what I have to say. You said some nonsense about Internet Explorer. I responded with Firefox. Hush, child. He wanted help, I responded with how it worked for me. If you don't like that, feel free to say so in a mature, respectable manner rather than a juvenile, ill-tempered petulant fit.

Sorry I'll be nice. While I was trying to help, I am admittedly a very confrontational person. ;)
