I'm all for more safe upgrade certs. If a new player can come along and spend a day or two farming elu/ori to either just sell it or to exchange for upgrade certs and get some decent equipment without literally spending YEARS saving up for his first Raydric, then that's a good thing.

I'm not such a fan of introducing such a system without any forewarning...as someone stated earlier, it made a few players -- almost exclusively the players that are already filthy rich btw -- even richer, and everyone else had no idea whatsoever. Good job. I only found out because apparently the Login Server has faceplanted yet again...came here to find out why, and found this thread.

It is a good way to try and take some of the hyper-inflated zeny out of the market, but seriously needs more thought. No NPC-purchasable gears(duh), no easily bottable gears, etc. A daily limit would be one way to slow the abuse of such a system.

Unfortunately, any system designed to help new players often winds up helping bots instead...especially on Valkyrie server where you're only limited to accounts by how many emails you have, it's retardedly easy for one dude to set up 100 bots and completely screw the market single-handedly...

IMHO Gravity needs to find better ways to prevent botting before they worry about fixing the broken market and inadvertently breaking it even worse then it is already.

Or they could help out all us Ymir people and not worry about the already-super-broken Valkyrie server. The Valkyrie economy is CONTROLLED by the bots. If they took it into consideration and gave it priority every time they made a change to all servers, all the servers would suck, and all the servers would be affected, influenced, and controlled by the Valk bots, even if it is indirectly.

Or they could give Ymir the NPC and not give it to Valkyrie.

People still bot on Ymir. I used to play Ymir after they merged Loki with all the other servers, and decided I'd rather just play on Valkyrie instead. Now, granted...botting on Ymir isn't a rampant wildfire like it is on Valkyrie...but such a system would still be highly abused by bot farmers regardless of server.

is there bots on Ymir?

I honestly haven't seen 1 single bot on Ymir. But maybe I'm no looking hard enough or they are less obvious. I did just come back 3 weeks ago.

Just saying there were still a lot when I actually played on Ymir. If they're gone, that's almost tempting me to move back, except I only have an assassin there where I've got a whole lot more on Valk so far now xD
