I can't change my avatar with a link, or browsing from my own folders. It says "The server can not be contacted." It's been doing this for a few days now.

I had the same problem. Try using a smaller filesize, under 50kb..

We changed the dimension limit too, to 150x150 as well if that helps, I don't know what it was before that but yeah.

It was 150x300 before, but 150x150 is fine!

Hmm how do I change my avatar? Only option I see is change photo which I did successfully but my avatar is still the old one.

It was 150x300 before, but 150x150 is fine!

Ya the new version only controls width, and assumes square is the way of the avatar. I am not as much of a fan but a 300x300 avatar would be grossly over sized for what is possible atm.

Try setting the image again, I went ahead and removed both (sorry) but I wanted to see if updating the one helped you get them both updated.

you see that too? i want the picture that i have as my photo on my avatar but i have my old one still for some reason

Try updating the image once more time.
I deleted the other image off the server, lets see if this works.

Rather than opening a new thread, i'll just reuse this one. I am having the same problem with my avatar picture not uploading. The little refresh icon just keep spinning. It tells me no error. I tried the url option, but the website tells me that the url is either wrong or it just decides to act like I didn't do anything at all. Any ideas?

Ditto, duckmanneo. It was working for me until I tried to update it today. And like duck, the image is within the size limits, at 150x150 and 43kb.

Another user, my friend essohs, is also having this issue.

I can't seem to get my avatar to upload / put a direct link in. The uploader just spins and spins.

Uploading the avatar picture directly from your computer seems to be broken at the moment, however direct link from an upload website should work. I've tried the direct link option just now and I've successfully changed my avatar multiple times using Photobucket direct link.

It still doesn't seem to be working for me. I tried Imgur, TinyPic, and Photobucket. :c

The loading icon seems to complete the uploading cycle and promptly disappears, but nothing actually changes.

Yeah, that has been happening to me as well. I haven't been able to add any avatar.
