Just a few issues with Mechanics I've noticed:

- The +atk from Madogear License does not display in the status window.
- I don't know if this applies to all third class headgear, but the bonus stats for having 120 base str from a Driver Band does not apply properly until you relog. Adding 120 str with the Driver Band on 'applies' the bonus in the sense that your stats remain the same, but removing the Band will lower atk and crit. This actually gave me a critical stat of -1! Relogging/changing maps fixed this, however.
- The head of the character sprite is off center while using a Mado, and the head floats above it on the equipment screen.
- Change Cart does not function while using a Mado, so you're stuck with the sad face basic cart.

I can't find anywhere to purchase or make a pile bunker, so I have no idea how the skill functions. The job changing quest went by without issue other than the usual weird grammar on all new NPCs. Oh, and this is just a complaint, but let Mados cast self buffs such as Adrenaline Rush/etc. so they can support party members, even if it does not work on them!

I'm not quite up to mech standards yet, still grinding through the levels. I have a question that is related to smiths more than mechs but this seems like a good place to ask.

Regarding the smith skill Weaponry Research. I'm used to this being a staple skill pre-renewal for smiths due to the hit bonus etc. But in renewal I notice nothing adding to hit, and it certainly doesnt help with the 'miss miss miss' I see a lot... Is this skill purely for forging as the skill description seems to indicate now? If so shall free up a few extra skill points :(

Looking forward to testing mechanics out, I'll be going the axe route mainly but I'll post any issues in this thread also.

I noticed the same thing with Weaponry Research, it does seem to be purely for forging now.

I just tested Weaponry Research; it still adds +2 damage per level, but it's difficult to tell if it's adding a hit bonus as well that's just not being displayed.

It seems you can cast Flame Launcher from outside the actual range of the attack, which just wastes a fuel. You need to be within four cells of the target, but it can be used from five cells away. Also, it seems none of the skills require the items equipped, just in your inventory, but I could only test Flame Launcher and Repair as I don't have enough zeny to buy anything else, let alone fuel/ammo to use what I have at this point. I'm not sure what the repair potions sold along with the Mechanic gear are used for, since Repair works fine without them.

It's better than that, you have to return there every time you die.

I wish they could fix that, so if you die and get rezed you would still have it, but if you use the self destruct you need to go get a new one. Kinda makes it useless in woe if you lose it everytime you die.

I think having to go back there to get the mech back is intended as a balancing factor to suiciding. But making you lose the mado on death as well is just cruel.

Just to add on to wat Verlai has stated above. My Mechanic (without Mado) initially has an Ice Cream Cart, then I got a Mado. It still shows my Mechanic + Mado + Ice Cream Cart. However, when I enter a portal/warp or teleport, the Ice Cream Cart changes back to a Metal cart (default).
