New to renewal and I'm not exactly lost....but I thought I would ask anyways.


1. I plan on making an alche/bio/gene and hear everyone talking about afking leveling. Is it really allowed? Can't find the in-game rules. Must be overlooking it or something.

2. The eden group repeatable quests don't seem worth it at lower levels. 2K exp reward for killing 3-4K exp worth of mobs with no zulie reward? Costs SO much to teleport and walking takes forever. Is there anything else or am I stuck with mindless grinding the early levels?


3. WHY IS THERE NO IGNORE FUNCTION?!?! Seriously, how hard would it be to make the feature to right-click on those stupid zulie spammers and select IGNORE! How old is this game?


4.AND ANOTHER THING! WHY THE.......No, I think that's all for now.



Edit; Here's another one. Is there a ticket system to report bugs? Cause I got an error that came with an error report. Or should I just post the entire report in the bugs section of the forums? Kinda seems like I shouldn't post something like that since I don't know when/if a GM will see it.

Afk lvling refers to just sitting on a map and letting your homunculus level itself really. It does give you a bit of exp but is not really a good way to level YOU just the Homunc.

You might have meant botting though and that is ILLEGAL and will get you banned.

In the early levels it is a bit of Grinding but you level so quickly now compared to before that this is nothing.

You can ignore them by right clicking on them and choosing reject whisper.

There is a reporting/ticket system at the top through the support link which you can submit a ticket regarding bugs and other things.

Nope, meant with the homunc. Just wanted to make sure it was allowed before I started doing it.

Yeah I'm starting to notice it. Just sold a few hundred Stems for 300z and got a nice chunk of change. Odd though, according to the wiki mandragora are level 13, but my level 22 thief is getting 135 base exp. Isn't the exp suppose to decrease as you get higher above the mob? The iro wiki shows them as giving 97 exp btw. It's not enough more to be a battle manual or double exp event, but still more. :S

First off I am not sure if you have VIP or not. If you have VIP then you get 150% of the exp.

Also there is a steady decreases in exp depending on your lvl vs monsters.

You are right in that Mandragora give 97 Base Exp. at 9 level lower than it you should get 95% of that which is 92, but if your VIP then you get that + an extra 50% for 138 so I think you may have just mistyped and you ARE VIP then.

97 * 95% = 92.15
92.15 * 150% = 138.225

The really noticeable changes in exp happen if the MONSTER is more than 16 lvls above you (only get 40% then) or YOU are 21 lvls above them (60% and keeps going down then.).

I try never to hunt things More than 15 above me or 5 below me so I get at least 100% from them. hehe at 10 lvls above me we get 140%.

Same thing for some reason. You don't see there public chat if you reject whisper.

No I'm not VIP. A few NPCs that offer VIP services keep telling me no. So yeah, not VIP.



Unless I've been gifted with VIP exp and wasn't told.....

Make a new chat window, disable public chat for the new one, problem solved.

This stops it from being in your main chat log but does stop it spamming on screen and lagging you down.

They also gave you a way to alter your chat filter on our side.

In the C:\Program Files\Gravity\Ragnarok Online\data folder (Default location) there is a LUA file called no spam. Open it with Note Pad and you can add words there that will stop spam bots



About the VIP like exp, depending on when you took that reading it may have been because there was an exp event happening that is over now. Gave non VIP's VIP lvl exp and gave VIP's even better exp.

Pretty sure that's over. And I don't see any new events in the news. I'm still getting bonus exp. Not that I'm complaining though.

Don't have an AI that KSes... that's pretty much the only actual rule. Just don't be rude by like I guess setting up RIGHT next to someone or something. The popular spots are Ant Hell 1 with the respawning Ant Eggs and Orc Dungeon (1 on Valk?). Of course with Ant Hell multiple people will set up next to the door or in other larger spots due to the limited amount of egg spots.

So it would be okay to, for example, have 2 homuncs afk lvling with a 3rd or more characters afk leeching?

Yep! It'd be incredibly slow though.

Yes well the point of afk lvling is to be cheap and easy, not practical. I'll probably have a 4th/5th client running with a rogue farming something. Seems like a waste to only have a single client open when you can have as many as your pc can handle!

I always considered AFK leveling to be for leveling the Homunculus rather than the chemist themselves. The fact that the Chemist gets levels is just a bonus. Sit your ass down at Ant Eggs for a couple of hours and your Homun should go from 10 to 50 relatively fast while the chemist might get 1 or 2 levels assuming the chemist was just made.

Then its on to OD2.

Ofcourse if you see a Genetic with a level 10 Filir or something, that just means they deleted their old Homunculus to remake.
