One of my guildmates seems to constantly be crying about good gear being expensive but he also doesnt want to hunt for items either. The thing is, he knows full well how to make money too but almost seems like hes too lazy to do that too.

This brought up an interesting thought to me. Hes only played after renewal while i played since beta. I'm used to low drop rates and being poor. So now that even though i actually have money now, i'm still stingy with money and only buy things that i can't obtain myself(like MVP gear or whatever i cant kill).

He really negative about his own luck and says he wont ever get anything to drop even with bubble gum and drop events. So i guess hes more into buying stuff than farming.

So how about you guys? Rather buy and let someone else farm? or do you prefer the hunt?

I usually ask if someone I know has what I'm looking for for a better price if I intend to buy otherwise I try to hunt.

Buy upgraded stuffs since its getting really cheap-_-

if your friend is so keen on buying, get like a base sum of say 1 billion , buy 1k wpe from a player and study the market between ygg, ymir, and valk. buy things on a server and sell them for 2-3x on another server and continously repeat till you get back to your "original" server. eventually you can do this on more than one character an account to bypass cooldown.

this was back then extremely easy to make zeny, but harder nowadays cause of all the ppl doing it and the market changes. there is still room to make zeny though. this way your friend never has to hunt again and chance things with luck. you barely have to play too. just observe ragial between servers and profit

Lol. So true. People don't really need to buy vip. They can just spend their thousands of dollars on groove packs and get overupgraded gears and medals to give them exp and lets not forget bmx3 . Unfortunately i have no money to spend on other than V.I.P =\. Someone shoud "loan" me their life savings.

LOL, I used to do that.. till I found the logic that new console games > ragnarok items ..

I've also noticed in this game, you only need to top-up atleast 100-300 dollars, then after that you're secured for your whole lifetime

Not in my case =\ I spent like 300 dollars total so far and i'm far from secure for life. I have the worst luck ever. Which is odd because critical assassins have lots of luk....
