i was wondering if there is a need of anything before starting to hunt for medals, since i killed [color={{{2}}}]Pantharis King more than 20 times and there is no medal drop.... do i need to be in a quest or something? or it really is just random rare drop..[/color]

also if im lvl 220 and hunt krawfy king. will there be a chance that the medal will dorp?

It's a random drop, no you can't get it from a grey monster, it's like any normal drop, but rare.
You could use a retrieval medal and go hunt for king set medallions by running all over the place killing every king that has medallion drop chance.

No quest is needed just a rare drop, you would need a MoR for the king krawfy
