Well, Title Says it all pretty much, i was fly wingin in brasilis dun 2, and it was Great Exp ! but now x2 exp and spotlight is over.. My homunculus is a Vanimirth --> Eira level 111 And dont think it can kill frus and skogul ect.. so not quite sure the next best place.. any advice? (perhaps brasilis is still good?)

Without considering events, active leveling on brasilis for me was a ~60% more efective than AFKing on OD2 (considering events, it was like ~320% more effective).

This week i plan on measuring some maps for Exp/h, from my list, I've heard that Juno Field 7, Einbroch Field 11, Amatsu Dungeon lvl2 and Moscovia Dungeon lvl3 are good exp for actively leveling, i might also test Turtle Island surface (this is an awesome AFK map if the spawn is up) and Glast Heim church to see if they work. Also, since my chemist is a lowie, i might check this week's turn in map (Alarm - Lava Golem
- Golem - Stalactic Golem - Wooden Golem) :9.

Or other maps from the hugel field, but with less red novus ^_^

gee people, when a spotlight ends, THE 2X EXP FROM MOBS DOES NOT. That's why amatsu still gives double exp, and so does brasilis and anything that gets spotlighted.

Im gonna try out odins shrine. It may be tough but they will give a ton of exp per kill. Just take it one at a time and carry as many whites as possible. We'll see.

Has this been confirmed for brasilis yet (since last maintenance) as Amatsu might just have been an oversight and not intended.?

I checked earlier and it seems like the exp from the brasilis spotlight is still in. Although its kinda hard to tell with all the double exp we've had lately.

yeah I just checked it too, I am getting about .05% a kill from pirahnas, while I was getting .1% with the 2x exp. Spotlight is still good.

Yeah i tested with RCX, exp from a headless mule is 2022, roughly 2x.


Just to think, if this is intended, and every town goes through spotlight someday, we'll basically have turned 2x~

So I was testing out the WOE 1 castles, valk, brit, and lunia, my guild didn't take any greenwoods this week.

They aren't that bad, the biggest reason I went to check them out because at the least you are getting 3 monsters in a mob since they are all mini-bosses.

Valk was definitely the worst, its a huge map with not that many monsters on it all with low exp and high hp. Upsides are they don't hit hard at all and you run into Maya Purple quite often.

Lunia I would like to do some more testing on. The monsters are kind of tough, and don't give the best exp, but it feels like its extremely easy to mob up. I wasn't in there too long so I may have just run into a patch of monsters there by accident, but it seems like mobbing the place up would be really great exp. Dopple is a bit of a challenge for the lower levels though.

Brit seemed like the best, its a bit of a high risk, high reward type situation. The exp is good, the monsters are beatable, but your gonna need some whites. But hey, the drops in this place make it nice and affordable.

Now, Compared to Brasilis.

Valk, no comparison, brasilis is better, unless you are trying to get that heads up on the Maya Purple spawn while still leveling, I don't recommend it.

Lunia is tough, if it mobs like I saw it in the short time I was there, it is significantly better than brasilis, for lavaslide, poison mist, ect. other than that, its not that good. Decent, and close to what Brasilis is, but not as good.

Brit seems better than brasilis, but only slightly and at a cost. The monsters there are a bit strong, so you have to use some money to level, nothing bank breaking though. I used about 100 pots in an hour.

Note: the iwiki database is wrong on these maps, brit for example has next to 0 mini demons, I'd say there is only 1-4 on the map at any given time, where the wiki page says they are everywhere.

In the end, its probably better to stay at brasilis, mainly because you aren't guaranteed too have these maps, but if you want a change of pace (I know I really like the music), if you want to collect some good items (I'm stocking up on fabrics and white herbs in brit), or just more of a challege because semi-afking in brasilis gets boring as all hell, then I suggest trying these places out, its pretty fun.

I recently got my dieter to lv 122. Magma flow is awesome. I've been looking for various places to make best use of this skill. Magma 2 was fun, but the homunculus would run out of SP fast thanks to sapping. Novus were surprisingly good, but they didn't seem to give much exp. Currently testing Desert wolves and Kobolds. So far, Kobolds seems great.
