Even if you dont have a Dieter or any AoE skills if your Homunculus is around 129 or higher it should be able to kill pretty decently if your semi afk here. Its .1% per kill which is nice. If you sit in one location and have a group of levelers swing around the map you get a pretty decent spawn. Try it out and leave feedback on how it went, i dont expect everyone to love this place.

Some words of advice;

Enter the dungeon with homunculus having full sp. It'll help killing mobs you'll run into.

Bring a friend [another genetic] if your homunculus doesnt have caprice, moonlight, sonic claw. And Semi afk next to each other.

Bring alot of whites and scope out a small area to semi afk at. If your using a AoE look for a larger area but be warned it gets mobby very quickly. So its safer to stick to smaller spots.

I practically did this once. Although, it was to protect afk leechers at the entrance.
I'm pretty sure it was easily doable with my Eira overed boosting (monsters die quick, and I flee everything that isn't fireball), but I wasn't at a decent spawn at all (entrance) and I wasn't there for my exp.

However, even if it was a possible spot to afk on... I think we should avoid it.
Magma 2 has been an active level 90~125 spot ever since renewal hit. If we made this map into a new OD2, we'd be destroying a perfectly good map that normal levelers use. [While yes, our homunc would get good exp]
I would really like to avoid doing that, at least in my opinion anyway.

I don't really think it'd be destroying anything. You have to consider that alchemists and biochemists cant use this map only genetics with high enough level Homun S can use it. Theres a couple of spots that are at the bottom right of the map that dont interfere with the rest of the map that loops into itself.

I also said SEMI afk. Not Afk. The spawn is high enough that if half the map spawns on you you'll die. .. and i did while typing this. Having a few genetics on this map will not destroy it in the way we destroyed OD2. Theres a large difference between the level gap and mostly 3rd jobs can survive in Magma 2 so your fear isn't a very well founded one.

Needlessly tearing apart your post because of that last statement you mentioned. <3
Spoiler

Meh, do what you want though.
At least the alchemist community is so small and unorganized that we cannot successfully move to Ein5/TI/Ama2.
So most likely your "Few genetics on this map" will be true. (Although, it will be because of our alchemist community, not Homunc Strength)

I never said anything about moving particular groups of people, I've no idea where you came up with that assumption. I disagree with what you say about other people leveling down in Magma2. So far I have been down [same bottom right section of the map] here a few times since 2x EXP and not one person has complained to me via PM, Public Chat, or on these forums. So I do not see how this negatively effects them ?_? I exclude only those classes since 1. They do not have access to Homunculus S, Vanilmirth could possibly live down there but the other homunculi I doubt. 2. They simply cant survive down there without having an AoE skill. Both Biochems and Alchemists wouldn't like being there and would be over whelmed easily. I would discourage them not to go down there unless they felt they had a 3-4 friends to accompany them and even then flash mobs would wreck them pretty hard. I warn them to come down at their own risk.

And I was right about bringing a friend to sit here, or at least have someone be Semi AFK. I've had a lot of 'flash' mobs pop up and Eleanor cannot handle that, I CC those. So baby sitting her is a must on this map. But its not hard to alt tab back to her to double check.

I do think if some [not the WHOLE server mind you] Genetics feel as if they want to give this place a try and aren't Dieter owners[they can just fwing into mobs, AoE, then fwing away anyway] then they should find a spot out of the way on the map where we can level our homunculi. The Exp is definitely worth it, especially with 2x EXP. Again, I have to stress, the original intention of this thread was in no way a means to spark any kinds of negative conflicts with other players its an 'option' for those of us who seek to more aggressively level our homunculi outside of the play pin of OD2. Od2 Ymir gets SUPER crowded with 2x EXP. The KSing between Homunculus' down there has gotten to the point where it bothers me GREATLY and taking her out of OD2 to level her else were is just a better option for me. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. I'm really just sick and tried of the KSing. The AoE's i can deal with I get up and move, but people are intentionally modding Azzy's AI to KS using normal attacks. That I dont deal with very well.

Magma 2 had been my ultimate goal for the best afk leveling place. But after they nerfed the homu flee it seems that it's too difficult for most homus to survive afk leveling at magma 2. I had never thought it that way that if that place would be crowded with afkemists it would ruin the place for other people. I agree with that.

What I have learned from the attempts to get people to move from OD2 I see it very unlikely that magma 2 would EVER be crowded with afkemists.. It has been nearly impossible to get enough people to stay on any other map than OD2. Yes I know.. people have different timezones, woes, exp events, turn ins, whatever -- OD2 is almost always crowded with afk alchemists (and some of them are annoying KSers).

Magma 2 has awesome spawn rates and mobs so you wouldn't even need many alchemists there to maintain some spawn rate. If I had a lvl 130~ homu I would try Magma 2. So far most of my afk leveling time has been devoured by benchmarking of other maps than OD2.

Before the flee nerf Vanilmirths and Filirs could tank the mobs at Magma 2 like champs. Now they die after a few lousy Nightmare Terrors...

Flee isnt really even an issue IF your homunculus' vit is high enough. Its more of how MOBBY it is. I've died 4-5 times only because I wasn't being very diligent in watching my homunculus. We'll have to re visit the flee thing when we get that fixed.

I don't think mass quantities of people would go to Magma 2 either, just because of how difficult it is for anything not well above 105[which is the level of most monsters there.]

Believe it or not, i have rarely had any leveling players near me and my homunculus all day. They keep to the leftern most side of the map that loops around. If they do appear its to kill a mob in the near by area or they just tele in and out.
