Yes, please take out the stupid training grounds. I got my friend in this game and I had to start giving him blind instructions on what to do instead of just being able to meet him in game right away.

The training grounds does nothing to stop bots at all so its a moot point on that.

Also if you are already a veteran player making a new character, its just so much easier and faster to level up that 1/1 novice with guildmates and by having them drop items(since you cant trade) such as overupgraded daggers and cont pots.

Uuuh you can't deal someone, but you can accept a deal.

Stupid argument that it's more difficult to help your friend level. What about players that come here on their own volition. The game teaches you so little as it is, and now you want to stop any new player from joining by themselves.

And training grounds does not deter bots, by the OP focusing on this it has created a thousand half assed counter arguments to a vital piece of any video game.

You need a first level/novice grounds/teaching area so players can be gently acclimated to a game. It amazes me that people who have dumped thousands of hours into a single videogame and do not comprehend videogame fundamentals.

And before we here the whiny veterans complain about spending 10 minutes maneuvering a beginning area, a 5 question quiz about basic RO fundamentals like hotkeys and the function of eden group could be used to streamline vets while snagging new players for an intuitive training ground that teaches skills, stats, hotkeys, upgrading, and the function of kafra and eden.

But thats the thing, they are not literally taking out the novice training ground, they are simply moving it to an actual in game map rather than some recluse map that no other player can get into.

And the "tutorial" as it is now is broken. If you are a new player, you are bombarded with so much information right off the bat, no new player would retain all of that.

It's better that new players as well as new players with freinds can automatically come into the game and meet real actual players. People who are invited to the game by their freinds can meet up with them right away and can be taught directly rather than by some NPC that will give a giant wall of text.

Back in the day, when there used to be an option just to skip the training grounds, plenty of people learned how to play the game from veteran players. Hell, I even ran my own little "Newbie training grounds" at Poring Heaven(which is so dead now).

Dude, it's kRO. 80% of the crap they think up is a bad idea. Not everything they release makes it here.
