We are testing the replay system right now for implementation pretty soon. It's the recording system, which is able to make RO recordings that can be played back through the client and has tiny file sizes. Pretty cool stuff and it could be a useful tool for bot reporting as well. No joke!

The main difference is that fraps has better quality, therefore the files are heavier than the ones from Bandicam... But both so far are quite good...
Now I gonna try with Fraps again... since I've been having some problems with the files recorded with Bandicam lately...

it's a false negative, but even if you have ROReplay you still need to record the screen in order to make a actual video. So you'll still need fraps/camtasia/bandicam/xsplit or some such.

same as you, fraps to record, vegas to edit1 more vote for Fraps, Thats what I use for everything. The quality will come out crisp and clear. Then load the video into your favorite video editor and go to town. I use Sony Vegas myself.

Fraps - free for 30 second recording (last time I checked)
Xplit - Free recording, just some limitations on games, also allows you to stream to twitch/justin/own3d etc.

I use the paid version of fraps. The file sizes seem pretty large though. Maybe it's just me.
Ofcourse it is. The reason that so many people use Fraps is because Fraps records in un-compressed video format. Thats why the file size is huge.
You're supposed to record whatever it is your recording and then do the necessary editing to it. After that, you convert it to another video type that will compress the video. How much quality you lose from that will vary from person to person.
As long as you know what your doing, you can compress it to whatever target size you wanted without any noticable loss in quality.
