Playing since beta...really don't want to know how much I've spent on this game, real money, zeny or hour wise...Probably a fortune really.

I can stomach how much real money I spend. I'm proud of how much zeny I would put my spending at. I can even bear how much I know other people have spent on this game in real life. What I would never be able to handle is knowing how much time I've played Although vending would have to be accounted for...

I got 2 main hobbies, clothes, and this game. I spend no where as much on this game then I do on my clothes. God just last Friday I spend 325$ on a pair of jeans. There hella nice though.

Yeah a lot of us have grown up with this game.. 8-9 years. There must be a lot of folks that make a lot of money now so spending $500 a month isn't really anything big for folks that are in their 30s. It was a big thing when I was in my early 20s.

well i played for almost three years. my first year and i half i thought "i will never spend money on an online game. it's money down the drain". then i spent around $1200 in four months, playing around 7 hours a night. after that i just spent money for the vip and the occasional lucky box. say 20-30 bucks a month, cutting the playing time to 1-2 hrs a night.

If I added up everthing I spent in real money I would probably cry.

For zeny though, at least a few bil, probably around 3 maybe more 7 years is a long time to track mmo finacial record. Ranging from my first day saying "what do you mean teleporting cost 1.2k! That's so expensive" to recently "holy crap gr is only 700mil? I can afford that easy" it really gets easy to lose track of these things.

I've easily paid my own monthly wage at least 4 times in my carreer... Frankly I give out WPE as christmas and Bday gifts to friends that play, and often the limited headgears that come out of Boxes.

This game is my job, but gaming in general is my "hobby" so it is what I spend my free resources on rather than other things. Overall it isn't as expensive as many hobbies I almost took up.

I think through my trading strategies in game I was easilly putting over a billion zeny per week through my account at one point, selling leeches n upgrades.

So I'd say I've spent well over 100bil in zeny.

as for cash, the thought makes me sick. It's not as much as many people I know, but enough to make me question my commitments irl.

Yeah I love how Heim always compares real life hobbies to online games.

At last count, I was around $3000 - but I paid for VIP for all my friends/family (9 accounts total).
Probably another $1000 since then, so around $4000 in 6 years. $666 per year.

Since my break from RO I've played Minecraft, LOTRO, SWTOR, LoL, and an assortment of games I picked up cheap here and there - and i've spent less than $100 in the last year.
