Game Arena

User Interface
  • Displays a list of games that the player can sign up for. (Short cut: ALT + G)
  • Keeps the player informed of their sign up status.
  • Enables game sign ups from anywhere in the game.
  • Features an on-demand game queuing system.
  • Players enter a lobby area to prepare for battle before the game begins when enough players have signed up for a game.
  • Arena Group function to enable large groups of friends or clan members to sign up for the same game and play together in the same team.

Group Manager / Group HUD

  • Allows up to 15 players to form a group to queue for games.
  • Separate group from party system, allowing uninterrupted party play while waiting for queues.
  • Tracks HP, MP and buffs for all members from any location.
  • Provides toggle button to show or hide Group HUD.
  • Group management options provided through Group Manager interface, freeing up space in HUD.

Group Chat

  • Allows group members to communicate from anywhere.
  • Replaces existing Alliance chat.

Scoreboard
  • After each match a scoreboard will show the participation levels of each person in the match
  • Sorting options to view scoreboard stats for each team are available
  • Maximum points available each match is 100 Points.

Crystal Defenders
  • 4 Level Tiers
  • On-Demand (Games will start as soon as enough players sign up)
  • No Time Slot Limit
  • Assigns players into random teams (unless in an Arena Group)
  • Attacker/Defender roles are randomized between each game
  • Designed for smaller sized teams (10v10 ~ 15v15)
  • Maximum Points Per Match: 100
Game Description

Crystal Defenders is an attack/defend style game, with one team attacking, and the other team defending a series of crystals. Each crystal will spawn in order at one of the three marked locations, which the defenders must protect for the duration of the battle, while the attackers must destroy each crystal to remain in the game. When a crystal has been destroyed, the attackers will extend the remaining game time, and a new crystal will spawn in the next location. Once the attacking team destroys the final crystal or the time runs out, the game will end and a winner will be declared.

Objectives

Attackers - Breach the defender's defenses and destroy all of the crystals within the time limit to win the game.
Defenders - Protect your crystals from the attacking team for the duration of the game to win.

Reward Mechanics

We are aiming to implement the following reward mechanics as a start towards encouraging participation in the games to achieve an optimal amount of points per game, and to reduce the desire to leech (although leeching will not be eliminated). In addition to these mechanics, the amounts of points awarded will be scaled accordingly to each level bracket.

      • Gain Honor per damage inflicted threshold
      • Points Awarded To Player & Group

      • Gain Honor per player kill
      • Points Awarded To Player & Group
    • Kill Attacker Outside Crystal Proximity (General)
      • Gain Honor per player kill
      • Points Awarded To Player & Group
    • Crystal Defended
      • Gain Honor per Crystal Defended
      • Points Awarded To Group Only
    • Win Game
      • Rewarded to all winning team members
      • Points Awarded To Group Only
  • Attackers

Level Brackets

  • Level 100 - 140
    • Teams: 10 v 10 (20 Players)
    • Difficulty: 3 Crystals To Defend/Destroy
  • Level 141 - 180
    • Teams: 10 v 10 (20 Players)
    • Difficulty: 3 Crystals To Defend/Destroy
  • Level 181 - 200
    • Teams: 15 v 15 (30 Players)
    • Difficulty: 3 Crystals To Defend/Destroy
  • Level 201 - 220
    • Teams: 15 v 15 (30 Players)
    • Difficulty: 3 Crystals To Defend/Destroy

Well, since it's quite a big feature (new map, minimap, ui, replacing alliance with group chat, group system implementation,...).
One does not simply copy paste it from pegasus, this could take quite a while.

Wish I actually liked PvP so I might be happy to see this update... shame that the solo play is almost gone from this game...

Good update for those who are looking forward to it though...

This week we are also updating the UI and the PvP/PvM Bonus Stats, the PvM Equipment will be added next week, but we are working a little PvM in there for you ;-)

Wish I actually liked PvP so I might be happy to see this update... shame that the solo play is almost gone from this game...

Good update for those who are looking forward to it though...

i hate pvp (except against Cal) and i still like this one, the map is amazing imo as well!

The game arena system will be upgraded with being able to launch group pvm content, but currently only a pvp type of game exists since majority of current players does pvp.
Don't worry you'll get your pvm update soon! Myself i'm looking forward to one as well, i play both (though mostly pvp since there isn't a lot of interesting pvm stuff to do these days).

But Stinky Pie has 200 points? Does this mean you can exceed the point but the max you get at the end of a round is 100 points?

Or say I have over 100, can I log out and still retain the points without finishing the round?

I should have tested this LOL.

It used to be 200, but maybe they altered it to 100.. or cal made a mistake there, could be anything.
But we can be sure it was 200 points limit when testing.

During our testing the threshold for points was 200, we have scaled back to 100 and balanced out the points to be more inline with what we want to see for our non-testing environments.

Really? Did you even read my post or did you only read as far as the Zzzzzzzz...........???

If you would have read, I could care less about PvP so yes, for me this is a sleeper and pointless update... however, I did add that it was a good update for those who were looking forward to it....

Besides... it was my "opinion"... never stated that I speak for everyone like some people here...

I do love the new feature of a scoreboard.

Only concern is having the required players join to make up the numbers into one group.
