Is it just me or I see the Paladin skills are now useless compared to other trans skills

Gloria Domini is 2k dmg and -40%sp can easily be countered with sp items and not to mention the cast time for that is long.

Battle Chant takes a while to get the random buff, the only helpful way to use it is in defending castles in woe but getting it takes so much in the skill tree and it is not that uber buff anyway.

Martyr Reckoning takes some of your hp to deal 5 attacks with fixed dmg based on your hp. The only way to fully utilize this skill is to have high agi and vit which renders most of the RG skills.

Rapid Smite I still see useful but becomes overshadowed by overbrand, vanishing point and other RG skills.

If this is the case then the only thing good about going Paladin to RG instead or Crusaders to RG is the extra stat/skill points. Other than that it just makes the Paladin skills useless and just focus all the trans skill pts to crusaders skills in preparation for RG skills.

I just think that Paladin skills should still be very useful because other trans skills are still very useful ike High Priest assumptio, LK clashing spiral-frenzy, HW mystical amp, Scholar soul siphon/exhale and list continues on.

Just want to share my opinion and I want to know what you guys think of this as well.

Thanks

gd is considerably slower than prerenewal, but you still can spam it with strings/sec

bc is also still extremely impt for an rg, not only for giving certain buffs to party members but most importantly at least getting lvl 1 to take away debuffs (howling/poisons/divest/masq/etc)

sacrifice cast time got crapped on tho, but that's a sader skill

It's not just you, I agree with you for the most part. Battle chant definitely does seem nice but you'd be sacrificing a lot of skill points for sure. Anyway, a lot of crusader skills are really good and even 70 points doesn't seem enough sometimes, so having those extra points is very nice.

I pretty much feel that most of the non-RG skills are pretty worthless. You need Peco Riding, Spear Quicken, Spear Mastery, and Faith. Even those are pretty damn optional. Pretty much all the offensive skills are trumped by RG offensive skills. All the support/Tank skills are pretty unremarkable in their current state (Battlechant is meh, Sacrifice with its cast time is mildly useful)

Sacrifice is the only useful skill in the Crusader tree.

Sacrifice is underused and is a great skill. Though with the balance patch, RGs are starting to become a bit more on the defensive support side and I'm seeing more sac RGs now. Sac cast time seems to be pretty good with higher dex and I love having sacrament casted on me just for quick sac-ing.

I also like guard, defending aura, spear quicken, and shield reflect a lot. They are useful all in their own scenarios. Spear mastery and faith might be kind of minor but are still nice too. My current build actually does not have defending aura but it seems very OP and I'll definitely be resetting at 150 for it.

rgs should really only be saccing in orgainzed fights with thrown in gds/provoke/pinpoint attks here and there. sacrifice might be the only skill you need to get on ygg server, but DA is needed on any large scale fight

point being, every rg HAS to have sac 5, da 5, and at least bc 1

Sac is useful in some PVM / MVP situations too, not just WoE. Not sure if I can agree with BC being a must due to how many requirement points it has, but it's definitely a good skill.

I might consider getting Sac 3 or 4 when I reset to put more points in something else too. Sac 5 is nice for PVM since people run pretty far, but for ET, 3 or 4 might be sufficient. Some RGs who are more battle oriented might just get Sac 1 too just for saving a party member in emergencies.

its pretty round about for all classes... that if they arent 3rd class skills, theyre useless aside from the hand full of skills that have been a nessecity from day 1
