as title says

i just reset a timer that said it expires at 21:45 = 9:45

if that was in PST it should have been 11:45 my time, but I reset it at 10:45 my time, so are the timers local time?

Actually between maints, the timers always loose about 4~6 seconds a day between client and server, kind of funny.

mmm I dont think they could do the gravestones in local time. I assume it's just stored on the db on death so that every player sees the same thing.

but quest timers (probably) get your local time then insert a db entry for your char that is unique to you.
unless everyone had a seperate entry for every mvp, I dont think it'd work that way.

Ideally server time would be displayed in the client. that would be nice.

quest timer = transmitted as number, converted to local time by client
gravestone = part of npc dialog = transmitted as text string, no conversion possible
