The monster that are summoned have way more HP than is necessary for monsters you have to kill as part of a job change quest. The Wind Ghost one wasn't all that bad, but the Skogul took 2-3 Gate of Hell hits @ 37k each and was still alive which seems like an excessive amount of HP for a quest based monster. The succubus felt like it was somewhere in between the 2, took me about 5 minutes of meleeing it at 500+ per hit before it died. I wouldn't mind if they had....say...10k HP max, but because of the amount of HP they have right now and the lvl 100+ monster areas you spawn them in it just seems ridiculously excessive. Not to mention it's a chore for anyone doing the test without anyone to help kill them.

I'm not saying to nerf these monsters completely, but a reduction in their HP is definitely needed.

Even if it isn't directly correlated at this Job Change, I noticed this making the quest and entering in Shadow Chaser Atelier in Prontera, that the name of a NPC was written in not coded letters, surely the name was in Korean and iRO client don't support it.

I edit this message with a question: "Where is written in the code Blue Fire in Third Floor, that you have to go in Turtle Island?" Maybe I missed something in the NPC dialog or this part of the sentence is missing.

  • Polish the English, all of it.
    • After killing the 'Shadow of Deception', and solving the puzzle in the room, you are given the 'Key Of Deception'
    • After killing the 'Shadow of Illusion', and solving the puzzle in the room, you are given the 'Key Of Illusion'
    • After killing the 'Shadow of Pleasure', and solving the puzzle in the room, you are given the 'Key Of Gaeity', it should probably be the 'Key of Pleasure'
    • Nitpick: "of" should not be capitalized in the key names.
  • Usually very long out-of-place options in NPC dialogues are jokes of some kind. Was this supposed to be one? (I didn't get it, no one I asked had any idea). Either way, text is too long and needs to be shortened.

  • Quest Log Entry 7167: Mysterious Cryptogram - 3rd never gets removed, even after completing job change. This may be due to out-of-order npc conversations. I was given the keyword [COLD] which is see a separate quest entry for.

It was kinda retarded how hard the mobs were to kill, I had to bring a few hundred mastelas and auto attack those things to death. Luckily with RE mechanics I could kill the succubus with an icepick even with very low strength. The snatching the mobs till they were alone was important then auto attacking for 3-5 minutes. It was kinda gross.

I spammed backstab on them cause i just didn't have the hit for them. Backstab now stuns which was an added bonus... (it did take forever though)

I used the stats my current Baby Rogue has (80 dex, 80 agi, rest between int and vit) and I was able to DS each monster with pretty much one sp bar plus a few melee hits. Finding the monster was the harder part. I just stalked when I found the monster, let it chase me while everything else couldn't see me and when I got to an empty spot, I went to town with the remainder of my sp spamming my novice potions as I went. It really wasn't that bad. Just wish the monster were easier to find, especially the Succubus one in Niff... Annoying with LoD out.

Now that the SC job quest has been fully localized, and I've had a chance to test it. I'm not sure its all that much better than before.

  • The encoded puzzle the npc in the Rogue Guild gives you is wrong. It was changed in the alt+u, and the text the npc in prontera accepts has been changed. But the text the player is given in the first set of npc dialog is still the old text.

    For the first puzzle, the example giving in the rogue guild (35 11 54 34 33 = PAYON) uses entirely upper-case letters. This trains the player to decipher into upper-case letters. When you go to enter the solution, the NPC tells you to "use all upper-case or all lower-case letters", which should be fine by itself. After entering the correct solution in all upper-case letters, you are told your solution is wrong, "Oh and don't use any capitol letters."

    This seems exceedingly inconsistent. Either (1) accept both possibilities, or (2) use lower case from the get-go and correct the "use either" in the preceeding dialog.

    (If you enter the correct solution in all lower-case, the quest proceeds as it should.)
  • For the second puzzle, the exact same problem. The example given (13 15 18 15 3 3 18 21 9 14 = MORROC RUIN), is entirely upper-case, but players are expected to use lower-case. The only notification of this is after you enter the "incorrect" uppercase.

  • This is highlighted in a separate color. This is usually done for things that are important. However this doesn't make any sense. (second to last dialog after changing class)
