I have never read something so misleading before!
I bought an enriched elunium box from the kafra shop. The description very clearly states; "A Box containing 10 Concentrated Eluniums" and then goes on to state "Increase rate of refining armour without breaking it"

Any normal person would believe that once using one of these 10 5! Eluniums at Sunhmi refiner like the item tells you to, the item would not break. This could be further from the truth, not only do you receive 5 of this item, but I assure you your item can not only fail, but it will break!

Why would they put in such a misleading and false description of the item?

It's just poorly worded. I assume they were going for something like "better chance of success means less chance of breaking your item when you fail". The last bit about "without breaking it" is pretty unnecessary, especially with different safety items around. Quite a few item descriptions need to be updated. The NPCs at least make it pretty clear when you might destroy your stuff though.

It's true they said it might destroy the item, but I thought that was just part of the scare tactic. I even checked the box item again in the kafra shop to confirm it said "without breaking" I am unbelievably annoyed since it destroyed my arch angel wings.

Gravity desperately needs to hire someone who speaks proper english. Item descriptions, in-game dialogue, and the weekly maintenance notes are just a mess of english gibberish.

"Increases rate of refining armour without breaking it"

Read it in context. The first portion of the text implies a higher success chance of not breaking your gear.

If you look at the last three words out of context, then yeah, maybe it'd be misleading. It is poorly worded, but it doesn't outright indicate that things won't break. It's too foggy for it to literally be 100% one way or the other.

In context it sounds like you receive both an increased refine rate and certainty the item won't break.

Stuff like this is the reason so few new players join and continue playing the game. Just plain lazy...

Failed scam. This is the reason why I don't buy WPE anymore. Whoever is managing the marketing stretegies should be more honest to their customers.
