Bot leveling become so common and getting out of hand in the recent years. And the problem where a class without AOE skill are not welcomed in the party still exist even though exp is already shared equally regardless the amount of members in a party.

Currently, the way to level up a party is by filling up the % bar in the party log, and different colors of mob gives different % gain the bar, in other words the more purple you kill in a period of time, the faster you level up your party. The problem with this rule is that it is strictly dependent on the killing strength of your party members, those lousy characters such as scout, artisan, raider are not very good at massive killing. Another problem I see within the leveling system is that, from Lv.1 - 150, it is ok leveling speed, but from Lv.180 onwards, it gets very slow and after Lv.200, it is so damn hopeless, finally you can't deny the fact that in order to level up fast you need to find "Big mob"

Before the proposal and suggestion, I would like to remind you that the party level of a party affects the exp gained by each member within the party, the higher party level the more exp you get.

So I would like to introduce a new party level up system that is not bottable which favours active playing and lousy characters will no longer suffer from inability to find party. It requires some sort of questing and hunting instead of looking for huge group of purple mobs and set up your AOE bot squad (bot AOE champ, bot healer, bot sacrificer soldier), here are the changes I would like to have:

1) The party level of a party will no longer have numbers filling up the % bar and instead it will look like this...

2) Party level 1 = 2% exp bonus, Party level 2 = 4% exp bonus, so on...
3) Remove the restriction that exp given must be within the range of combat, instead exp will be given to each party member if they are within the same map.
4) The requirement of the task monster must be at least yellow color (same level as yours or higher, else it doesn't count)

Here are some example of the possible entries of [Insert task here]
and for monster rank reference, click this link below

-for Lv.50 party, [kill 3 King or Boss monster] Reward: [50% Extra drop chance] and fairy to each party member

The idea is like that and this is just an example.

Pros of this system: this is something that botters cannot do, promote search and destroy, lousy character are welcomed, able to get high level party regardless of the mob level difference with respect to the killer, Lv.180 onwards leveler can have some progress instead of some boring grinding.

Cons of this system: don't know yet.

The amount of kills needed for level up could be increased, it still doesn't look too difficult to get to level 50. The drop rate should probably be lowered too, maybe 50% max at level 50. I don't even know if I was serious about fairies for max level, but it would be fun. I still want to see more kings though.

Also, I think for the tasks to be completed they should be based off killing yellow or higher level monsters for the highest level member in the party.

I like the idea, but the numbers (amount) should be changed to higher gaps imo, nice otherwise. Something in style of what phish said.

Solo leveling in Rose right now has no benefit at all over partying. You are naturally weaker because you are likely using self buffs, only 1 person killing as opposed to a group of people, and no extra bonuses like the party level grants.

I think, there should be a small penalty in exp for partying. Not as drastic as it was pre orlo, because after you had your cleric, aoer, and maybe a lure any other members were neglected.

With this bonus system implemented I think it should be something along the lines of this:

Solo: 100% exp
Party of 2: 80% exp
Party of 3: 70%
Party of 4: 65%
Party of 5: 60%
Party of 6: 55%

There is some reduction, but it is diminishing unlike pre orlo where a party of 6 would recieve 1/6th of the normal exp. Leveling is pretty fast before level 180, and this could help slow it down somewhat while indirectly make soloing a little more appealing. Also, with this party level system, it will actually be possible to increase the party level after 180; realistically now it isn't because you need to kill monsters higher level than you quickly.

i think the system as of right now is fine, they need to work on solo-play and questing experience more, they have been, i can quest from level 1-36 in a bout 2 hours so far.

,,,. The drop rate should probably be lowered too, maybe 50% max at level 50. ...

The drop rate has been crap in most area's below 100 where I have been leveling a char in the past couple months, you can barely pay for your food. I don't think you should have to buy stuff from the IM and vend it to have enough money to do more than food and a few basics. This game has ALWAYS had ways of making decent money up until the past year or so when the drops were wacked back to nearly "great depression" levels.
