Hello all! I would like to start by thanking everybody for your collective contributions to this forum, it has helped me a lot .

The question I would like to ask is fairly straight forward. I am aiming to be a MVP/WoEing Acid Bomber, my current gear load-out looks like so:

Head: Red Wing Hat (Carat Card or Evil Snake Lord Card)
Middle: Black Frame Glasses?
Lower: Ninja Scroll
Armor: Meteor Plate (Peco Peco) / Glorious Suit
Garment: Valkyrian Manteau (Raydric) / Glorious Muffle
Shoes: Variants/Shackles / Glorious Shoes
Left Hand: Triple Kingbird Red Twin Blade / Triple Kingbird Elemental Sword
Right Hand: Cranial Valkyrja's Shield / Kingbird Bazerald
Accessory: Bradium Earring (?)
Accessory: Bradium Earring (?)

I would like an honest opinion of whether or not that gear-set would be ideal. If you also note the question marks, those marked areas are where I would like some insight as to what you guys would get and why. If you have a preference over any listed item, please tell me why you think it would be better.

Valk mants?! Who the hell uses those anymore? Immune Nyd for WoE, consider that or +9 DR HBP on MVP.
You're a genetic, not a gx, you cannot dual wield. Weapon goes in right hand, shield in left. Bazerald goes in trash, they aren't good in renewal.
Red Wing Hat? Again, nobody uses those anymore, they're not good. overupped CEB for WoE, and I'm sure there's something better than redwing for MVP.
For MVPing, you need a set of elemental armors, since MVPs often have elemental attacks that will own you without them. For WoE, you need an UNFROZEN or DEADLY armor. Freeze does still happen, and we always laugh at the people who freeze and die in WoE. (have you been reading pre-balance patch guides? 100 int doesn't give freeze immunity anymore).
Accessories should be KBC WDB's in woe. Or KBC somethings, at least. Also probably useful for some MVPing, though the BSB set isn't a bad move either if you aren't taking elemental attacks.

All these acronyms are going over my head could you please elaborate DrAzzy? I'm choked up since I already bought some of the gear you mentioned was garbage (Bazerald, Red Wing, Manteau). However, I was thinking it would be alright to use these gears as a starting set and then work up from there. How come CEB is preferred over a Red Wing Hat? I heard Acid Bomb was affected by both MAtk and Atk, so wouldn't that be better overall for MVP? I looked into CoD and I think the increase of MATK and ATK of the Red Wing Hat outweighs Crown of Deceit's Int boost.

I know I said I wanted to go for WoE but as of the moment, I need to make money so it's going to primarily be MVP hunting for me. What would be your recommended build for money-farming MVP drops? (Best possible damage output with survivability)

Red wing isn't garbage for MVPing. The %ATK at +9 does affect acid bomb, just not cart cannon.

Use pirate dagger for lower for better acid bomb and ( eventually ) cart cannon damage.

If you can find one on your server black devils mask is one of the better non MVP midgears if not that takius blindfold for the INT.

Also for MVPing you will need a full set of racial reduction shields.


Weapon wise don't bother with elemental sword. you get better damage per over upgrade with the twin edge ( and I prefer blue for ONE reason... killing annoying non MVP ghost stuff by frost diver freezing and endow scroll cannoning ) because the twin edge is a level 4 weapon and the elemental sword is level 3.

CEB - cat ear beret. a kafra shop hat that was on sale for a short period of time.

KBC = kafra blossom card. it was in a lucky box type event as a rare drop and gives you 10% elemental immunities with a chance for 20% on receiving magic attacks.

WDB = water drop brooch. something like 5-10% water immunity. Slotted accessory. with a proper setup with these you can reach 90-100% water immune.

BSB (set) = bloody shackel ball. it is an accessory that when equipped with shackles ( non slotted heavy footgear ) give a bonus to ATK.
