This is a multi-part question.

I'll use my Hover skill for example.

What the skill should do:
Hover: Hovers the Mado gear and makes the caster immune to traps, Magnetic Field, and ground targeted magic attacks.

What the skill does:
Hover: Makes the character immune to triggering hunter and sniper traps and Magnetic Field. No other effect, does not apply to ranger traps or ground targeted magic attacks.

So, if I wanted to report this, how would I do it?
Since we're not in the next phase of testing yet, perhaps it is not yet appropriate to report it?
If that is true, when will we be getting the next phase of testing?

Also, if this skill has not yet been fixed by Korea (which it hasn't), is there any hope that iRO will at least take necessary steps to fix it, or will I have to wait for Korea to not-fix it.

I'm not going to be around for a while, but I really would like answers to just two things:

1. Can we get a timeline for renewal?

2. Can we expect to get fixes to things without Korea?

Is there a nerf rifle out there?

If so, can we aim it at Hells Gate?

iRO has no access to the code, so yeah, the only way for them to get fixed is for iRO to report the issues to Korea and have Korea acknowledge the issue and fix it. I hear this second part is the hard part though.

So, kRO players have direct access to the dev team of the game, in a way. A bug that they report more or less goes directly to whom it needs to go to.

Is there anything an iRO player can do so that we are not dependent on kRO players' reports in order to get bugs fixed?

I mean, realistically, is there anything we can do?

kRO players themselves are pretty apathetic about reporting bugs because they feel that they never get listened to. I mean jRO even has a huge list of renewal bugs on their homepage that they have submitted to Korea staff to review, and they certainly aren't getting fixed very quickly. For us, the most likely way to get anything fixed would be to document a bug enough that you can see beyond a doubt that it does not work as intended, and see if iRO will report the issue to Korea. It worked with the attacking-dead-player/monster bug, once we compiled completely solid/easy to understand evidence, they fixed it almost immediately. :wah:

I sort of wonder how some of this stuff even makes it out of the Korean testing phase to other servers.

Hover for instance, they should have had a basic check list or something.

Does it prevent you from triggering all traps in the game? ... no.
Does it prevent you from receiving damage from traps? ... no.
Does it prevent damage from ground targeted magic? ... no.

I mean, come on, you would think that the skills would be at least tested to ensure that they worked on the basic fundamental level that is described in their description before they're sold to the other versions of RO.
It's something that a simple internal test should have verified and resolved before it was even released to players.

Well, any volunteers for frapsing me as I die to various things?

As an aside, the reason I'm making a big deal out of hover is because if it worked as described, it would be probably one of the best skills of the class and a huge reason to make a mechanic. If it works as it currently does, it is pretty much worthless.

It took them almost over a year to fix Neutral Barrier. It clearly states its supposed to block ranged attacks, but for a full year after the class was added, it gave everyone in the barrier and people you attacked from the barrier 95% evasion (video). They aren't very efficient at fixing bugs. :/

Well kRO's Gravity was rushed by jRO to get everything out ASAP. So I think that is a reason. But I don't know if they even test these things themselves since a lot of bugs that are player known the Devs have no idea about, like Hell's Gate and many other skills taking Element even when they are Forced Neutral or the other way arround Arm Cannon is supposed to be elemental but is also forced neutral and will miss Ghosts. GF, AB and Killing Strike had this bug and it was fixed for these skills specifically so fixing a bug like this shouldn't be hard.

Edit:
In kRO lvl 3 Arm Cannon is also 7x7 even if description says 3x3!

Edit2:
It took them 1 year and 7 months to "fix" Wug Dash which is still not fixed on the main server yet only on the test server, while many bugs are still existent. Not to mention the RK and AB bugs that still exist since their initial release! You should be able to understand why kRO players are quite pessimistic about reporting bug...

That's not a bug though, on the Arm Cannon.

At least according to my client, the AoE is supposed to decrease from 7x7 at level 3 to 3x3 at level 1, in exchange for increasing power.
What I said was a bug at first was that it seemed from testing it in PVM that it was a 3x3 range at all levels.
