What's the quickest break time and setup required for breaking an Emp within less than a minute when using just a GX?

I know EDP and 193 ASPD are key to breaking it quick, I'm afraid I lack knowledge weapons-wise as to how fast you can break it though...

It took my GX more than 5min by himself to break an Emp using a KVM Katar and a +7 Alicel Hat, but I'm wondering what else is needed to break that much faster.

Edit: NVM I'm retarded and didn't see the fact it was a PLANT type as well. I only remember WoEing in Pre-Renewal like a derp so my experience will help almost never.

That's pre-renewal info. It's not an Angel and Holy anymore and it takes 1 damage from normal attacks (skills don't work on it).

Best chance would be to use anything to increase your ASPD to 193 for an extended period of time I guess?

it is, try chick hat in place for alicel might help

PS: it takes around 2-4mins usually wid kvm katar,didnt have chick hat so dunno

Well you can't see any damage in WoE but Double Attack applies for all monsters, even demi-humans in PVP. So I dont see why it shouldnt apply to an EMP unless it causes you to miss instead of doing double attacks.

snake head = double attack lv 5
with 193 aspd GX will do

chick hat gives 10 if char have tht lvl learnt and since its a gx it will have lvl 10

Like all other Plants, you can see a "Miss" above your head when you do a Double Attack. That doesn't show when you're doing Double Attacks on an Emp though, even though it's counted as a Plant-type. There are people who say it does count as damage on the Emp, while others say it doesn't.

No, that's the Sidewinder card you're talking about. Chick hat will only give you Lv2 Double Attack.

Yeah I always thought it was weird when Plants have 10 HP and I kill them in 5-6 hits when double attack procs. I'd assume the same happens to an emp, you damage it despite the miss killing it almost twice as fast?

ah... how about using both...."chick hat" for headgear and "sidewinder" weapon (so both lv 10 double attack)

Double attack does not stack... HOWEVER if you have a Chick/Snake hat, it allows double attack to proc with your Katar regardless, kinda useful for that situation. Since you probably learned lv 10 Double Attack it will proc lv 10 instead of lv 2/5 with the respective headgears.

I can do it in under 2 minutes but I don't anything faster than that is possible.
