Shadow fox: I don't agree with the 'quest' or that timing things, that will make everyone feel too lazy to hunt. me myself, and my fren often go to ruin and train together, we are not afk-ing, I just feel so comfortable, staying on one spot and chatting with other party members while levelling our char.

just like what oteldoudou said:

Well, I don't agree on the time thing :)

I just had over the week end a loooong party in Ruins, and we played for a couple of hours (once reached 200, it starts to be very long levelling up), while none was AFK in the party. We were just chatting and joking around.

Now, if we woule had have to go back to a NPC at entrance every 30 minutes or so (and you know how ruins if huge), and then coming back to see that another party have taken your spot... no thanks.

So against botters, sure, but not with a time limit :)

It's possible they do bot, just not around me for very long.
So you enjoy starting out a game then skipping the majority of it?
While comparing remember different companies have different rules, gravity doesn't like it when people bot. If you want to know more about it talk with Corvus as he's the head of the CS team and enforces the rule.

well bot fine to me and should be fine to anyone. and people skips the majority of game.....like really who does quest.... only some quest are done.....

so ur saying u neva playing with some one that bot..... and if u complain u dont like rose then first of all y did u play rose....and it wil be fun for a noob who barely play cause he would be like oooo i lvl i think i like this game.. bro look at grandfantasia they let u bot in the game and they are the top 10 free mmorpg.... they even got their own botting as a skill

Thats like comparing apples to pie there to different things with different flavors yes they mite let u bot in that game but this is this game where they don't want you botting i agree the with zurn when u bot u do skip to the end and where teh fun in that if u do that u be at a less then someone playing the game because they will know the class better then u and would of farmed up more money then u would of when botting so if u really want to think about it botting hurts u more then it helps :)

I agree that botting kills the game, and all the fun of lvling in parties. However i think there are some reasons that can sometimes persuade a player into using bot programs. Some things which i felt were:

1.People who start out as Hawkers(katars and bows) and move on to being Raider and Scouts have a very hard time leveling. Why?,because they dont have any aoe skills which are almost mandatory to level fast in rose online. As a result after being turned down by several parties, they tend to make their own bot parties to level their characters,or atleast a bot cleric so that people would take them in parties because of their bot cleric.

2.People who tend to use aoe skills in parties often find themselves using the same skills over and over again for several hours which makes the gaming experience bland and boring overtime. So they tend to start using bots as basically they are doing the same skills over and over.

As for solutions to solve botting problem, I personally feel that adding a slow moving highly powerful monster(somewhat like the giant arachnid in ruins) in popular levelling areas would actually discourage people to use bots,or atleast to stay online most of the time. Also it might help some raiders and scouts to get into parties to either lure away these monsters or kill them.I personally feel that it would also make the game experience more thrilling.

raiders can get an aoe, circle break just saying. the scout is useful for places that have ranged mixed with melee monsters like prison.

It isn't but I think if you join a party who is lvl and is afk, then its ok... as long as you aren't the one botting.

Well bot features are well accepted now in other games (autoskill, autoheal, autoattack). I mean get a life there are other things to do than just poking buttons just to level. Its all about skills, analytical thinking & game enjoyment not slavery.
