Cut the number to 100 and assign a random mob in the level range +-10 of player's who's accepting. No teleporting to a instanced map, just travel the world and kill the target. have a shorter cool down for decreased number of kills , say 6 hours.
But why do you not like TIs?
Sounds good... maybe. except that it means we'll have a ton more eden badges if we keep up on the missions so not too practical. So not likely to happen. I don't mind the having to go to targets out in real world without the TI map. Means aco warps would be used a lot more often. Downside... soo many maps became no warp allowed even before renewal that it absolutely sucked >< Kind of liked beginning where you could set warp point anywhere but inside of dungeons.

Something that I feel should be disgust is if the GM's or CM's or whoever plan on keeping the weekly turn ins for a indefinite period of time. My Personal opinion and hope is that the GM's can slowly ween people off of the turn ins without cutting their own throats and profit.

Already discussed. TIs are a fix by our iRO GM to compensate for stupidly broken monster exp scale we got with renewal.
Long term solution is to rescale monster XP and which requires KRO approval. KRO gives no -_-s so things remain as they are.
Now you know...

I've been saying this forever. New maps suck. Original maps rock.Get rid of special turn in maps. Put the ti back on regular maps.

though it will be more excited if they didn't remove the MVP, so that everyone is being cautions xD
I remembered when everyone used to follow carefully behind the tanker in Ti map with mvp,
unlike now some aoes go wild without bother the slow tanker
and when they die I laugh xD

1. People were complaining about the difficulties in finding parties. Suras and RGs laughed in your face and go their own merry ways. ABs were crying for want of party.
2. Parties were difficult to form due to exp scale: remember renewal mechanics: you only get full exp if the monsters' level is at least 5 and at most 15 levels above you. Meaning if you are a level 100 AB partying 115 RK, either the AB will get exp penalties (e.g. killing level 116 monster) or the RK get shafted (e.g killing level 108).
3. TI is as a way to address that: the TI reward in general "cancel" the exp penalty, the mobbiness of the map makes AB to be a crucial part of any party.
So like Squishy said, get rid of the exp penalty, and TI will not be that important anymore. But then again, the exp reward is not that good compared to pre-renewal (e.g. bio monsters in post renewal: 12k per kill, pre-renewal: 150k per kill), making it more profitable to solo, especially if you have cash to burn using those bless/agi/assumptio scrolls.
