I think SP items like Grape Juice or something along the lines should be made available at least in limited quantities when the server starts. There are no profs , the rates are already 1 x ( i do like the grind ) , and we don't want people just whoring characters that are ez accessible when it comes to SP. This can be removed once we move on to trans or w.e or once people make enough alchemists to produce enough pots in the economy. (That's why I said limited amounts so people can't stock up) This ultimately will make players choose more of a variety of classes at the beginning as they won't be discouraged by the very shallow SP pools a lot of classes have when they start off solo or even in groups in some cases.

you know i would really be against the whole pots in the kafra shop but seeing what ridiculous prices they charge for blue pots i think that would keep brewers in check. o and don't complain that it's because the blue herbs cost so much because if nobody were to buy them for a month they would drop in price.

I'd rather not have those kinds of items introduced. I'd prefer to encourage party play with priests and the like. Magnificat is supposed to serve a purpose you know. Also, people will collect grapes and make them into grapejuice. I don't see what's wrong with that. It would be a really nice way to start building an economy, and having Kafra Shop SP items would be a great way to kill that part of the economy.

Honestly , sitting for SP is acceptable but does not make up for the fact everyone will main an easier character to level that doesn't require SP. This in turn makes character diversity crap. At least a few hundred of an SP item to start OR the 5kp light blue pots would work fine as you only need to do surveys for them.

What first or second class are you thinking of that can't maintain a SP pool through stats and equips?

IMO there shouldn't be light blue potions.
But then IMO strawberries should be nerfed or blue potions buffed so that strawberries don't completely outclass them even when ranked.

Lol , don't say I'm not ready for a pre-renewal server. I'm not like most people who ditch a server over one idea not being implemented. I just thought this would be useful and the classes I'm talking about for example would be a swordie trying to be a GC crusader for example , damage and abit of bash spam would help. I'm sure there are other ways of getting SP items like the suggestions listed above , but let's be realistic for a second. Strawberries on a 1x server drop at 6% , YEAH THAT's GONNA SUPPORT MY SP LOL. 1 strawberry every 18-20 wolves? yeah ... no. what about poporings? 2%?!?!?! Wow , that'll keep up my SP pool. Come on , this isn't a 10x server. Normal attacks you can level with but don't say that 's gonnna support anyone's SP pool.

Because pre renewal has its own numerous glaring flaws.
People like to act like renewal fixed nothing.
It did, just that it created its own laundry list of problems.

Refusing improvements just for the sake of preserving old mechanics, no matter how obviously bad they are, is just... hipster-ish? Is that the right word?

I thought Classic was about the grind? Why not grind on Spores for the early levels, and grind on Wolves as well? Any Strawberries you get will be incidental -- just stock up on them, and then break them out later. The focus would be the Exp, not the drop, in that case.

For Grapes, Marse and Blue Plant seem to be better sources of income, if you can find a sizable source. (I wonder if the Yggdrasil's plants will be returned in Classic+.)

If SP is that much of a concern though, I suppose I'd just hunt for Willow/Elder Willow cards. The card drop rates will be remaining the same, won't they?

everyone has forgot about the pharmacist in alberta who will make you bulk pots for a very small fee if you provide the empty bottles and herbs... even to this day i make pots this way... and strawberries will still drop... there are tons of ways to heal and regain sp... most people just forget about them because renewal has made it all so super easy and convenient...
