I just want to clarify the process so I can estimate just the right amount of Hugel medals to turn in without going overboard and maybe grinding away the rest of a BMx3.

The way I understand it is you can give x amount of Hugel medals at once but then only get the experience for them 100 at a time. Now I'm just thinking about roughly how many minutes it will take to turn in about 6000 medals and get the experience for them as well.

Can someone clarify how exactly it's done? If I can only give 100 medals at a time and then get experience for 100 medals at a time, I can imagine it would take a while. What do you guys usually do? The reason I ask is I'm using them to get to 150 (and have more than enough medals) and not go overboard so none will be wasted. I'm thinking the best way would probably be to calculate how much it would take to get me to level 149 at 99% and then level the last percent myself, you know to make it more special I guess. I've never done it before so I don't know how long or quick the process is.

you talk to npc once to turn in the stack of medals (all of them, or a number you specify). At this point you can't cash them back out.

Then you can talk to the npc, and tell him to use medals for base (or job) exp, specifying up to 100. It's like 6-7 presses of enter and 1 dialog where you enter a number, iirc. So it's easy to fit into a 3x manual, or even an HE, without worrying about time.

you can also instead of having the NPC take all your medals have him take them 1-100 at a time takes more time but if you dont want to waste medals and doing something like trying to get the last few job levels to job 70 and are already 99

Nice - thanks for the replies. I was just worried my extra BMx3 time would be wasted. I'm still probably just going to do enough to get me to base level 149 at maybe 99% or so (I'm already job 50 so no worries there). If my manual runs out before I'm 150, oh well. It's double experience right now anyhow.

If you're worried about wasting time, it really takes no time at all. I've used hugel medals from 90 to 99 on a 3x manual in less than 1 minute. Then it takes probably another 2 minutes to walk all the way down to the Valkyrie in Juno to rebirth.

Then i have 27 minutes left to power level my way back up.
