When you have 20 weapons you're about to upgrade clicking all the dialogue boxes for dozens of times is really troublesome ..
Can there be an option to do X attempts to upgrade back to back ? (if you don't have enough zeny or metals it will go as far as it can)

I do think a more sleeker Player Interface should be up for discussion; it's long due for a touch up.

I was going to suggest using an interface similar to what you see for the forging, cooking or potting and build off to enable a bulk upgrade.

Then again it may be a kRO issue.

kRO controls the programing

not much they can do interface-wise w/o their help
also because its an old game theres not a lot they can change "easily" about the game as they would a newer game.

I really think this is a good idea, and it's certainly something that I've thought about before. I really think now would be the perfect time to bring this up as well, considering all of the improvements that kRO has been doing to game interface (Navigation system, map improvements, etc.). What I'd like to see is something like:

-Talk to the upgrader
-He does his little spiel about safe upgrade rates and all that
-2 windows pop up, one is your inventory, the other is an "upgrading window".
-You drag over one equipment you would like to have upgraded and confirm
-He asks what level you would like to upgrade to. If 4 or less proceed to upgrade, If 5 or higher, warns player about a chance to break the equipment
-Confirm with him that you are sure you want to upgrade to the level you typed, and the upgrader will attempt to upgrade the gear in rapid succession.

I'm not sure if this is something you would agree with, but I think it may be doable since it uses things similar to what we already have.

I would add this:
- you drag gear from inventory window to the upgrader window and if the item is upgradable you can press the button that says upgrade
if safe it will be upgraded right away, if not you get pop-up that says it can break. maybe not as fast as my original idea, but a huge improvement over what we have anyway
It will also allow any character to upgrade any class weapon/gear even without being able to use it

When i played a pserver before i joined here they had this feature there was these options i think i dont remember to well its been a while
1.)Upgrade(Upgrade 1 at a time)
2.)Upgrade to Safe Limit.
3.)Upgrade X Number of Times (Input your Number) It will warn you about the gear breaking if it is above the safe limit then you click confirm and it autoupgrades to that number.(Good for Level 1 or 2 Weapons or level 3 Gears for EatGear i guess)
but yes we need this new interface badly

Seconding Ramen's suggestion. But really, anything that makes successive upgrading less tedious would be more than welcome.

I am on board for this as well, especialy after the fifth window opens, and the npc breaks your
weapon/armor, you want to take your pixilated glove and strangle him..

I'd also like to see some advanced alchemist potion options, making potions 1 by one..
kinda kills the finger joints.

Well if he brakes it and does his little "sorry i broke it" speech you can see little pixel-art blacksmith getting strangled by deviruchi

This is a great idea. Sometimes, you might get trigger happy on the enter key and downgrade stuff by accident. xD

Happened to me a dozen times coz I had a bunch of ores to burn away.

This would be a great idea I stopped upgrading lower level gear I found because it was to tedious. I would love to be able to start upgrading lower level stuff again it took so long to upgrade 60 MG[4] I bought at one time I had to split it up in to two sessions.

Also upgrading ore sucks I just sell it off unrefined.

There is an Heimdallr approved 3rd party program that in a way "auto" upgrades your item to whatever you put set it at. It's somewhere in the midst of the iRO wiki forums.
